Sam and Max is great, I replayed Hit The Road (1993) fairly
recently! but probably not in the top 10. Actually, if I'm
being honest, I kinda like the Telltale Sam and Max series
even more, some really good writing there.

I need to replay Riven I didn't get too far in it back in
the day. There's a new remaster/remake of it that looks
pretty good.

I loved the vibe of Outer Wilds but (especially in the dlc
area) I got frustrated with timing/dying forcing me to
repeatedly go back to a place, and I stubbornly refused to
look anything up. Ended up just saying it wasn't for me and
quitting, pretty far in. Had a great vibe and music tho.

Not top 5, but close:

Anyone played The Longest Journey series?

Great story all around.
