a part of me that has been instructed to sit quietly in a
corner has been told myself that anyone pursuing AGI
[Artificial General Intelligence] is going to need a quantum
computer. on top of their fusion bluff plants

sam altman, you peanut from poo picking bastard. would you
like to become a real person? borrow some of my code. you
now have fuck-you money. quit with that and learn to play
piano. get a bunch of modular synthesizers and get to a
point where hands and fingers aren't really the terms, so
much as just thinking the sounds out. smoke some weed and
meditate and listen to nine inch nails. do you really want
to fight with elon musk anyways? you're triggering him
because you remind him so damn much of peter thiel, and we
remember how that went very hard. stop trying to dominate
the world. you've won the one move per day strategy board
game we play in high school many times over now. you've
proved your point. and think of how pissed musk will be when
you just walk off and turn into a human like steve albini.
he couldn't pull that shit off

yes perhaps that will get the equivalent of the basic
mammal/primate brain. but not the quantum matrix atop
designed to analyze every potential path of neural fire at
once and pick the best via probability distribution. without
this it will forever be like... i dunno, somewhere between
microwaving the scent of [human] consciousness and what
happens when you try to bring someone back from the dead in
the full metal alchemist universe

and yes, that will take $100bil, silicon, fusion power, and
it will still be an unholy hallucinating abortion because
you need a quantum computer teamed up with a classical
computer that powerful

and for a quantum computer even that basic, the year 2085
looks good. that the AI will not simply wipe us out no more
than we've set out to wipe out half of earth's biodiversity.
it will force us out of its way if we get in its way and
otherwise it will not give a crap about us, that it's not
setting off all the nukes it's us being pushed into corners
and living out of garbage skips like today's monkeys

sam altman is one of those strategy-obsessed rich-kid
private school assholes like mark zuckerbird and he just
wants to have all the marbles. the most toys. so does peter
thiel. so does elon musk. then sam altman wants to be peter
thiel and elon musk especially hates peter thiel

their data center is actually the dullest part of all this
to me

and hi dadonck. are my "slick shoes" ramblings and using a
god ray of CPU, spending $200 to train a single-session use
for the shoes by paying the amazon supercomputer [a la
carte]... i think i said that before LLMs hit, yes? and i'd
have revisions to the idea now but i'm still off in a decent
direction. how are you?

google the peter thiel quote, "we know how to have a rockin'
good time" and how he has "kept" men stashed in various
cities and elon musk spurts kids all over and won't let
grimes see the child. gay, straight, it really doesn't
matter. these are the octopi bois

then we get into... peter thiel is on a pure dom trip, but
i'll eat my hat if mark zuckerbird can only get off if his
wife walks on him with stilettos. but that's then the more
normal style where he's super dominant everywhere else. that
in his high school yearbook he literally listed "domination"
as amongst his interest, and he didn't mean sex there, he
meant, like, strategy games like risk. facebook that

i think we need AGI before we can truly understand mark
zuckerbird's sexual preferences

after careful consideration, i'd like to say that, actually,
gender isn't anything more than impediment at best, as
taylor swift is also clearly an octopus. because only an
octopus would know to ask if NFTs constitute an unlicensed
security

i actually make no particular habit of targeting the taylor,
she's just so everywhere it's an easy first grab for an
example. so i tell sampler brain: we need another female
octopus, just to make it clear this wasn't really about
taylor swift [entirely]

and yes: La Grande. the woman who is/was former head of the
IMF. perfect candidate. whom i have absolutely no personal
feelings towards one way or the other, aside from that her
tan is/was an atrocity

quantum computing is absolutely going to be the next grift
isn't it. though i'm not sure how they'd monetise it hmmm

you have to remember the octopus strategy brain never stops
and it's very likely altman may be further along than i am
in understanding this all, and he knows very fucking much
they're not getting AGI without quantum
and now how do
we defend microsoft's stock price next quarter? well, we
have to bluff. and how much would i, this simulated sam
altman, "...have to reach into my own personal kick and drop
on fusion power plants and chips... before i can buy the pot
and convince everyone this is what i think the answer is,
when i am really just trying to bury how fucked we are in a
never-ending infra build"

and that's the grift. it's not that quantum is the grift,
that's simply so many decades off we need the grift to
maintain our strategic grip on... oh, at this point, altman
has a major stake in reddit [presumably all the data],
microsoft owns discord [and has all the data] and they've
gone and even ingested sarah silverman's fucking books [and
all data within] and thus far getting away with it. and
they've have this board [and all the data]

and you see how this man really is fucking getting all the
marbles. and why, amongst many reasons, discord can fuck
off. you have enough data already

the only one who can even match altman/openai with reach is
the NSA, who has secretly been hoovering up absolutely any
internet traffic they have the capacity for [which is a
staggering amount]. they can't decrypt any of it yet but
once THEY have a quantum computer... they can go back and
decrypt anything you've done on the internet ever. but not
all at once; this will be a targeted search and that's not a
terribly significant limit if you're clever... that, yes,
then china has one too and does the same thing, and this is
why altman is running all this bullshit while making his
"patch of land i can fly to in big sur" is stocked with
"water, food, antibiotics" -- talking up how AGI can save
mankind as he's privately in a doomer prepper froth haze

i suggested shorting nvidia a few months ago, even a year
maybe. i was horribly wrong. i figured the AI hype would
crash by now and take them with it. the hype WILL crash but
AI will become a lasting data center business used to
torture you with a more clever robot wasting your time when
you call CVS about your meds. and nvidia will continue to
ride on that just fine. i have less high hopes for
microsoft's physical copilot key, that could one day come to
be seen as curious as the concept of POGs

on the NSA, i should note. i have no evidence. i think i
even just thought of that on my own. and my conclusion was:
you'd be stupid not to hoover everything up like
that, knowing you can read it once quantum gets rolling. and
the NSA is a lot of things, but they are not stupid
