I dunno about the rest of you guys but im missing Siskel and Ebert a lot lately. and Ebert and Roeper, to a lesser extent.
currently enjoying watching them take a dump all over 1996 with thier worst of '96 list.
I am happy to still have redlettermedia, at least.

ebert review has insights
while Siskel&Ebert's piece is just a pretty terrible home video advertorial
(should be mentioned Ebert is passed away, but the reviews on the site are worth your time)

Ebert was so good man. No agendas, no cynicism. Always clear and thoughtful. He definitely had his preferences but still remained objective.
I shot him a short email in like 2007 about Lynch's Inland Empire and he sent me a nice little reply. He never did get around to reviewing it though, was already sick at that point. Never did agree with many of his takes on Lynch, but his POV was always interesting.
