Again.

I was pissy at Warp because, you know, they sucked and quit
massively releasing great IDM for a years. Warp had such
standards and wet the bed, then I saw the name of this band
and I looked at it like a joke. Like Smart E’s or Utah
Saints, both of which have no shame.
Anywho, I’d love to see the OPN Inna club and have to much
fun.

Drink Red Bull and give thansk

When I am IDM Czar there will be ample IDM regardless of its
marketability.

Listened to some of this stuff. The production is A+, but
not enough beats. Overall I don't know what to make of this
guy. Some cheesy as plinky 4 note melody that leads into
some amazingly intricate off the grid, complicated riff that
sounds awesome, and then back to the dumbass plinks.

In the end the lack of percussion makes me forget about OPN
entirety for months until someone mentions him.

LAZY_TITLE ~ anyone want to buy this? i never use it
anymore. it's not a YM2612; more demented chip sadly. but
i've still busted out every relevant logic point on it to
banana jack; the keyboard encoder to db25

i posted it on youtube over a decade ago as "tactical
nuclear FM nightmare" or such. then i deleted 90% my youtube
first time some early 10's. it is to oblivion? it was? it
has been? the original plan, the second major round of
enhancements, 2014 or something, was "you should be able to
run this whole thing from a pi 2 over a db25 cable
including, especially including, injecting garbage programs
into the discount megadrive soundchip in the psr-6"

and then, hardware, i dunno, it got there. but then i'm
realizing it's a fuckton of work to code up software to just
control it with a rPi and i spend all my time with it
playing with the banana plugs and sampling and writing down
the bend patterns in a notebook as if i'd ever look at them
again

if you want to get deep into bent chiptune noises, it's more
than a workhorse, it's a workbench. but it's not exactly set
up for you to get anything out of it on that level

then i have samples of it i don't bother with because i can
do weird FM crap on the digitakt or the microfreak and i
like chiptune noises fine but i don't use a lot of 'em

so you see what i mean when i'm like: ...oh, $100 + ship?
that's worse than mcdonalds wages for time i put into it,
but i haven't used it in ten years and quit being greedy

but that's only if it makes sense for someone to continue
with it. and i'm not sure it does. it looks cool on a shelf
tho

IMO it's his best work since Replicas. The composition feels
like composition, the best tracks on here work as fully
formed music not just formalized riffing. I didn't enjoy a
lot of his 2010s output because it felt like doodling and
noodling. Here, the intricacy is more integrated.
