deserves its own thread completely different than the other sets I said i wanted a bit darker, a bit more hip hoppy, and this thing nails it how did they have a whole alternate set just lined up that was even better than the original and only played it for one night? and they arent CHEATING like aphex playing other peoples music. they were about to tour in 2019 and covid hit maybe AE_LIVE_LONDON_071022_B was what they had lined up. then it sat or so long, unused, that they made something else for the '22 tour. And played this just the one time. |

I'm at no risk of thinking MY stuff is better than richard's lol. He's in a different league, it's not even close. Actually, I think he's a better musician than autechre too, I just LIKE their stuff quite a bit more. When afx wants to, he takes everyone else to school. I need a hangable auto bulb 2. |

Even if I find the blackbox stuff just decent (few listens and shelved for a couple years), it's still SO far away better produced than any spam I have ever heard on xltronic. It doesn't grab me, but the quality is there. |

3 hour drive in the dead of night last night. Made an autechre sandwich 1. AE_LIVE_LONDON_071022_B 2. AE_LIVE_BERGEN_021122 3. AE_LIVE_LONDON_071022_B (again) Predictably, as it was made for live listening, it sounds better loud on some speakers with bass. It's so good. HOW is it so good. The last 20 minutes of B are my favorite thing they've done in a long time. Everyone needs to listen and take notes. |
