i've been banned from watmm for over a decade. that's actually why i started posting here. i've been over the situation of the ban for almost a decade, and it's been at least five years since a) i stopped getting totally loaded and posting crap like that b) even when i am a bit drunk... some maturity? so there's been a sense i could go back there and not, like, bother joyrex. but xlt is fine; oh just leave him and watmm be then salv died. i wrote joyrex an email saying a bit of the above, and also, like, i'm broken up about this, could i come back and say a few words? then i went on to suggest i could just pick a new forum handle and be very low-key about my return if he felt that would be proper. happy to pay the $5 too he never replied. i figure if i paid the $3 or $5 he'd figure me out soon enough, ban me again, pocket the cash. seems a waste of dosh |

may as well, while i'm here theo ~ never have hated him, don't even dislike him. it's impressive, some of the stuff he did so early on in life. i thought some of his insights were clever, on the mark, and promptly appropriated them as my own. then he goes off the rails with his massive fucking superiority complex. i mean, i enjoy being right, but i work very hard to be right, out of fear of being wrong. theo has no fear of being wrong. meanwhile, while he tried to get some vinyl pressed at 16 i was off over-analyzing everything at 16 and it makes sense he freaking hates me; it fits naturally. that i more or less shrugged this off, agreed with him when he was right (went over well) and disagreed when he was wrong (did not sit well with him). so finally i arrive at: you're fat. you are unarguably fat. you can't prove me wrong. you're sharp and you're right a bunch, but you have your flaws too i remember writing fred a pearl-clutching email when he handed over moderation of the board to theo, because i knew theo would eventually freak on me over something |

watmm/joyrex/chengod ~ that it really goes down to me beefing with ChenGod, because i made lots of very silly aphex threads. i worked hard on these, and to have the deleted did not sit well. however, they were partially right, that most of that stuff would have been better... here, really. wasn't on my radar, so my threads keep getting blammed and if i wasn't so egregious with them i probably would have coasted by on slack. but i wasn't, and then i argued, and it bubbled up to joyrex, and i'm like: you don't own the community man. you're like cartman kicking everyone out of the birthday party and i was drunk and that whole arc was 80% me escalating when i should have left it go. because i am a tenacious, rabid shrew about anything. so long as it holds my attention |

watmm was the first ban from... any sort of thing i was emotionally invested in. that sucked. bdb, once theo ran the shop; it was inevitable -- so when it happened, i was not surprised, and if he still runs it, i probably shouldn't bother going back. braindance, well, i was simply there to get banned on my way to the pub i'm typically actually mad over something for a week at most. then it just kind of crystallizes into "fact" and i reference it without any real concern |

"what else do i have to do?" and i won't quote the rest of that line i think this was peak for both of them, and also on of my peak contributions there, really -- i took the call audio of them arguing with each other [you'll know who is who!] smashed it around in ableton live timestretch with some breaks and then played a few overdubs of live sh101 on top |
