Anyone played this, or heard of it? Just starting now. Feels really different. A bit early but I think this is going to be a great game for me. Playing as a schizophrenic detective with memory loss and alcoholism. Just woke up naked in a hotel room. |

It's one of the very best games I've ever played. The writing is superb, and the characters have a ton of depth. I found the setting endlessly interesting. I'm waiting a bit to play it again, there's a ton of stuff I didn't get to experience in my first playthrough. My wife's playthough was quite different. I don't want to give anything away. I had to stop playing at various points just to take in the soundtrack. Especially tune. |

I played as a libertarian ("Ultraliberal" in the game's parlance) with an affinity for the supernatural. I got some money every time I preached the free market, but suffered like a -2 to empathy rolls, which was hilarious. |

I'm right wit you, this and Fallout NV are both in my top 3. Skyrim, Morrowind, Witcher 3, Planescape Torment or Baldur's gate taking the third spot. I'm definitely gonna be a commie as well for my next Disco playthrough. Even though that's *probably* the slant of the developers as well, they keep things pretty balanced in the writing (ie every system goes to shit in the end), which I genuinely appreciated. |

the developers got this reward and in their acceptance speech thanked , so yeah the game also pokes fun at and has serious critiques of leftism, gave me stuff to think about it should be said, for people that don't know the game, that it's set in a different world, so everything is kind of fresh (while also being recognizable, take the union stuff, for instance). i liked the religion and the history, to name some things. and of course the way it looked and felt i see people saying on twitter that pentiment is a good game i wrote down Planescape Torment at some point, maybe because Action Button named it. but i tried fallout 1, at some point, and it felt kind of hard for me to get into such an old game. i guess also because i'm not that much of a gamer (except Trackmania, at the moment) |

i'd also add it caught my ear for the name alone. the cool band name things is a specific facet of a general personal fixation, and disco [anything] is pure fodder. then you do with "disco elysium" and i know the word elysium and that's a pretty darn good 2x |

or... never mind new accounts, but maybe provide some sort of personal contact to help reconnect existing accounts with their owners who have lost track of the login/email/etc. i guess it's slippery as you don't want to open the door to hijacked old accounts, but i do know for a fact there is a bunch of "ohhhh, i'd post on xlt but i can't remember my password and i don't have that email anymore" but that's a mess and i'm sure everyone's busy. more practically i should do that for yugo... |

ATTITUDE CRAB. today, you know, pretty normal, i sign onto soulseek to leech more japanese speedball arcade music like always. anyways, a bit into this i spot one called Japanese Stream Hardcore - UNDER CRAW [JSHEX002] (M3-35) ...a hilariously bad title by normal standards, but... by the standards of The Scene Over There, this is like a 3/10 name because it simply makes no sense. There are so many albums with names like this that it all becomes a blur; I just wait for one to grab me with interesting patterns and download it. UNDER CRAW, though, why am I stuck on this name? Why am I not moving on? my brain answered: "this is relevant to something we said yesterday" but that's all i can get out of it. UGH. fine. i downloaded the album. i don't have high hopes for it but i checked back in this thread, and YES THAT'S THE THING ATTITUDE CRAB: UNDER CRAW i guess i should listen to it now since i finally figured out why the fuck i downloaded it. i have more bills than money but i'll by disco elysium eventually, no matter how bad the people on youtube are |

I didn't expect to like this but it really was quite good. I'm glad you can mute the voice acting. I listened to the voices sometimes and apart from Kim they were all so voiceacty and ill-fitting. The scooter guy doesn't sound anything like scooter. Anyway very cool game. |
