Great show I’m about to finish. Any similar comedies out
there you could recommend?

It's such a unique show, I don't think there's anything else
really like it.

It's got a specific cadence and a fast pace, large ensemble
cast with running gags and strange editing things like false
musical cues, etc. The moments of sentimentality are also
false. The closest thing to it might be sketch comedy, at
times.

I don't know of another show that would routinely have
writing like
"it's as Ann as the nose on plain's face."

My favorite bit was when Tobias sees a call from BLU on his
answering machine. Thinking it's the Blue Men Group calling
him back, he paints himself almost entirely blue- while it
goes through all the messages from Lucille to Micheal. Then
he gets to the message...

"uuugh! BLUth company!" And he looks up at himself in the
mirror in slow motion, seemingly questioning how his life
led him to this moment. Nice someone made it into a gif

I like the 70s show and the new single season of the 90s
Show.

Tombstone is great.
Virgin River if your in a girly mode

You should get Disney+ and just watch
Star Wars stuff

Agreed.

I lol quite a bit. Last episode I watched Tobias tells
Lucile that hurt people hurt people. To which she responds
(in her head)

“Yes that makes sense, twice. I used to say I once but
twice is better: Hurt people! Hurt people!”

I reckon I could watch it all again and catch stuff I missed
out on the first watch. One of my fave comedies for sure.

“Daddy horny”

was in the shower today and just started chuckling to myself
about arrested development (thanks, im sure, to this
thread)

particularly this scene

Dirty Ears Bill.

Definitely due for a rewatch (probably 6th time thru). You
catch something new each time.

Is Arrested Development a Classic?, by smooth voiced José

a fav+ mindfuck for me is watching Ozark and seeing Jason
Bateman essentially play the same character but then in a
straight setting (straight, or actually heightened reality
crime setting)

i was just using The Internets to figure out... yes, that
was it, Jimmy Quidd from House

and i get this, just, like autistic-grade House
fandom wiki

...has anyone tried re-watching House via just reading this
wiki?

(i can actually see it in my head as i read this; i can give
you specific camera shots... reminds me of when i would
record movies and TV shows to an audio cassette to listen to
during long drives)
