i particularly like how it somehow managed to take apart
icon animations into single frames. probably a wild pointer
reading from an incorrect (but nearby) area of memory.

squarepusher uses some 80's brit computer he grew up with.
this more hearkens back to, like, early windows trash. that
i'm trying to run an XP game (fallout 3) in win10, over
steam link, to a linux desktop. what can possibly go wrong?

well...

Are you on those illegal download pages?

please see above post #02624772

this is a result of trying to run a winxp era game, on a
win10 machine, streamed via steamlink to a linux machine.
and, as i said: what could possibly go wrong?

but i suppose there is that. it's very definitely just
windows having a "daisy" moment from dodgy old software run
in a strange context, not malware. not even an actual
problem. i didn't expect it to work. but i didn't expect it
to fail this pretty either

Sometimes you write miles and miles of paragraphs and I
don’t even read a word of them. It’s kind of like that
Chinese balloon they found hovering over the sky. It’s
there but it’s not there but it’s there but it’s
spying on us, wanting all of our tik-tok data.

In other words, I hope your computer is well and working or
will be working better

I like celery and cleavage.

a lot of the time i give a direct answer in a single
sentence, too. for example:

this is a result of trying to run a winxp era game, on a
win10 machine, streamed via steamlink to a linux
machine.

...and then people just skip past what i wrote and complain
they've no idea what i'm talking about. do you guys watch
fox news? it might be more satisfying

then i actually read [most] of what wolfslice wrote the
other night, and all of it was based on having not actually
read my posts, then not reading my responses to his posts,
and for him i'd go straight to q-anon

i'm not mad at him. just, like, you can either not read what
i wrote, or have me answer at least some of your questions.
that i wasn't terribly direct about some points, i will
admit. but he's tearing me out for not being good at A&R and
PR and metrics and maybe that timeline was a bit long, but
it's very dense with the point it's trying to make; if
anything i just say it too many ways too many times.

i suppose i'll try again.

anyways, i have a real question, and... it's arguably on
topic! but, no, really, there's nowhere else i feel like i
could ask this question and get anything other than blank
stares.

so this ~ LAZY_TITLE

o9 ~ church of the ghetto pc ~ terminal red

...and someone -- i think on here, actually! -- told me that
the stuttering in this track is actually the mac OS9 task
scheduler glitching out. that you'd switch to some
background apps and slam the CPU a bit while your track was
playing and since OS9 was essentially not multithreaded, you
get... that sound.

pretty much: is that true? can i get more detail about it? i
just want to hear more, really

thx.

did not really have a first word so much as a first sentence
-- a question, actually. i would apparently say "o wat dat?"
and point at something. and my parents would tell me what it
was and try and explain it to me. and i was just thinking of
that moment from short circuit where johnny 5 is like
"INNNPUT"

then he's just totally smacked out on information and it's a
bit of a jumble
