Really?

Yes or no.

He talks to me in my dreams sometimes and I saw his face.

He only shows his face to those he's gonna obliterate.

He said about king Solomon and also said all my first
cousins will be tortured.

Most people go to heaven or the world to come after they
die, but some people are raised to shame and everlasting
contempt.

Dreams are God's way of sending us messages. Joseph and
Daniel were good at interpreting dreams.

I'm not really ill. The Messiah is psychic somehow, must be
God. I thought it might be technology like neuralink but how
can they show images in my dreams?

What I don’t particularly follow and make peace with is
all the torture you speak off. Your version of God differs
from mine.
Where’s the love, compassion and empathy? No it’s all
torture and inflicted suffering. Your God seems very
vengeful. It makes me sad.

Clad in his saintly armor of virtue, and wielding his
talking sword "Infantus," Marlowe once again descended to
the heavens above.

This time, the place was the Brown Barrens, a region of the
Mud Flats, where the Mermaid Men were known to incubate
their foul eggs.

Infantus: We've found one, A Mermaid Man. Low-end
accoutrements and supplies.

Marlowe: Is it a woman, transgender, or disabled?

Infantus: No, sir.

Marlowe: Is it a muslim, non-binary, or has it expressed
anti-capitalist views in the last 4-6 weeks?

Infantfus: No, sir

Marlowe: Is it at least wearing a solidarity with
Ukraine or Black Lives Matter pin?

Infantus: Not at the moment, sir.

Marlowe: Then in the name of PROGRESS, and with the spirit
of AN IDENTITARIAN MARXIST BASED HEIRCHY OF WORTH, I
sentence you to cross the great divide.

With a blinding flash of light Marlowe lifted his angelic
sword. "FOR JUSTICE!"

and the beast...

The mermaidman....

was

no more

everyone gets free will

"
Tank : Here you go, buddy; "Breakfast of Champions."
Mouse : If you close your eyes, it almost feels like you're
eating runny eggs.
Apoc : Yeah, or a bowl of snot.
Mouse : Do you know what it really reminds me of? Tasty
Wheat. Did you ever eat Tasty Wheat?
Switch : No, but technically, neither did you.
Mouse : That's exactly my point. Exactly. Because you have
to wonder: how do the machines know what Tasty Wheat tasted
like? Maybe they got it wrong. Maybe what I think Tasty
Wheat tasted like actually tasted like oatmeal, or tuna
fish. That makes you wonder about a lot of things. You take
chicken, for example: maybe they couldn't figure out what to
make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like
everything.
Apoc : Shut up, Mouse."

who made chicken taste like chicken in the real world? God
of course

Did King David in the bible torture the enemies of Israel?
why yes he did, so it's not really surprising that his many
times great grandson, the messiah of end times does torture
too. The lesson is to never support palestinians, to never
do anti semitic words or deeds, to never be hateful at all.
something like that. there are consequences

Jesus taught a lot of good things, but ultimately wasn't the
genuine Messiah. He caused a lot of anti semitism in the
world, passion plays, "synagogue of satan", so Jesus was
responsible for a lot of evil in the world. Ironically Jesus
was tortured by the Pharisees and Romans. I guess he's in
heaven now apologising for all the trouble he caused.

offline umbroman3 from United Kingdom on 2023-01-27 10:17 [#02624667]

Adolf Hitler tried to kill the real Messiah's mother when
she was just a child. Everyone knows Hitler's in hell now.
Hell is where the Messiah tortures the enemies of progress.
6 million murdered in death camps and gas chambers by Adolf
Hitler. Probably 99.9% of those 6 million were descendents
of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God made promises to Abraham
thousands of years ago. So take the old testament challenge
today, compare it with present day reality, then realise for
yourself that God is real.

The Messiah loves peace, love, and justice but is prepared
for war at all times. He’s a heaven born Captain. His
parents survived the Holocaust and moved to London where he
was raised in a loving family. He was born from the tribe of
Judah on his father’s side and is descended from King
David and King Solomon, the greatest kings Israel ever knew.
so far. He follows every Jewish law and every British law.
He’s high up as an advisor to the UK government, and every
political party worth its stripes listens to him. He joined
the Tory party as an entryist, probably to destroy it from
within or at least make sure he could help govern, like
Joseph or a Daniel from the bible. He’s the one fighting
Putin with all his strength and knowledge in what appears to
be the beginnings of a third world war.

Existence is completely paradoxical. How can something exist
from nothing? If God created everything, what created God?
Take the idea of God out of the equation, what created
existence, the multiple universes? Matter?!?! What? It
makes no sense. We’re not supposed to exist as far as I
can deduct.

The modern idea of God(s) is quite simply a product of
culture.

I guess the purpose of the afterlife is for everyone to know
God on a personal level, and whatever questions you have for
him he will be able to answer himself or through the Torah
scholars.
The world to come is this world, only the dead will be
revived.

question is, what do you do when you realise that God exists
and is fully real and created the world? convert to judaism?
then you have to follow hundreds of different laws and
dietary requirements and are held to a higher standard than
other people. islam? same thing. christianity? then youre
following the teachings of jesus or mohamed who made up
stuff along the way out of ignorance. i think it's
absolutely delightful that there's a proven creator of the
universe. it means that there's an afterlife, it means that
there's a plan, it means that good wil triumph over evil, it
means that putin will lose, it means that the future will be
bright, space travel will be possible, knowledge of God will
be possible, friendship with alien civilisations will be
possible

"proven creator?" Man, this is entirely a faith based
operation.

You keep mentioning "crazy" but I don't think it's crazy to
have a faith. Your dreams are not crazy either. The only
thing that seems off, to me, is the frequency to which
you're dwelling on all this stuff (which seems like, more
than an actual priest lol).

If you're getting these repetitive cognitive loops long
term, you'll eventually need a bit of help. Someone will
work with you to reduce them to a reasonable level. Your
faith won't be impacted. They'll probably correct a small
chemical imbalance leading to these repetitive thought
loops. The drug might make it hard to get your dick up.

The alternative, if this were to progress for a few years,
could be you cutting ties with most of the people, ideas,
things you still care about and you spend your days calling
local restaurants raving about the messiah. You should just
nip it in the bug now while you still can.

today i messaged an old friend i hadnt messaged in a while,
he plays classical guitar and he was saying how good is
subjective and then we both landed somewhere about
activities (like playing guitar) are objectively difficult
to do, or easy to do. He's incredibly good but downplays
himself. Eventually the discussion lead to existence and i
kind of reiterated the tired idea I had put forward here
earlier. He made a good analogy whichI will post here

"do you think an ant can conceive of a nuclear reactor even
after thinking really long and hard"

I think this sums up the limits of the human condition and
our ability to understand what God or existence is.

L. Ron. Hubbard even said something along the lines of "if

How stupid do you have to be, to be a scientologist?

that really... we've done this thread before? and i don't
mind doing it again; i just have some flip material to get
out of the way first. built up a buffer in between

that not only do we share 99.n% of DNA, human culture is all
the same ball of yarn. that people synchronize with each
other both through paradigms that are likely, ostensibly,
arguably synthetic synthetic -- such as horoscope -- and it
works simply because there's such a massive amount of
humanity's energy/computation going into it; making it
real.

no? not yet? ok

that there is at least some core to the traditional zodiac,
but if it were so freaking literal... as a fellow leo, why
am i not RDJ?

no, this is about, like "take some medieval person really
trying their darndest to construct a theory of everything"
and then "out of a million theories this one took hold" and
then "the leos are synchronized with the virgos and the
planets" and "to think the cosmos don't influence us at
least a little is silly, the full moon has such a rep
because IT'S BRIGHT OUT and more predators out so prey gets
antsy and on we go overanaylzing it"

so you have tens of millions of people reading their
horoscope in the paper and genuinely putting faith into it.
via tens of millions of people collectively putting genuine
life decisions into what their horoscope says, and that
horoscopes are all synchronized with each other, you create
a mechanism where if you have enough of a critical mass of
believing souls, horoscopes can effectively work, even if
they actually have nothing to do with the cosmos. but i
still think it's naive to assume we aren't gradually shaped
by those motions

anyways: you should watch serial experiments lain. a god
cannot exist without believers

i'll try it from another angle. after david bowie died, lots
of arguing about "what would have have done next" and this
includes people that knew him well, talking with random
people, who argue on the internet, and multiple people who
feel in the mood to be conduits make what they feel would
have been david bowie's next album and none of them will be
quite the thing, but... some will be pretty close, and...
put together, stochastically, the next david bowie album is
there. as sort of a point cloud. everyone cares so much
about the next david bowe album that we've granted him a
limited god status, for the sake of satisfying our obsession
with what he would have done next. that this is how you
become a god: pull a jesus and have millions of people
simulating you and your mind forever, and, fuck, i do wonder
if that could achieve a consciousness of sorts. that'd be
wild. this is what "immanentize the eschaton" or whatever
was groping for but couldn't quite grasp

that it's kind of a funny answer: that i really believe god
"works" because so many people collectively believe and
check in with him, and with each other on how they're doing
with him (and/or her).

but my previous post: it actually makes a case for, "god is
real, but we actually created him, and he has some
competitors"

and i'm not actually on board with that but it's not
obviously crap and i'll keep prodding it.

end sum, i suppose -- if God exists, he's a point-cloud
stand alone complex; which doesn't actually rule out
consciousness, even though that is extreme

but i'm still interested in what god tells you, because i
view that as valid information off the grapevine, as it were

throughout history, anytime you have some leap from...
native villages... to, like, something that resembles a
city... aztecs, egyption pyramids, sumerians, you never get
something like that without religion. that my rough
theory, i suppose, is it's like a database. that animals
will pass skills on to their offspring in nature in a
rudimentary way, but you need both a) the bandwidth of
human-level language, and b) something Deadly Fucking
Serious, a theory of everything [!!WITH THREATS!!] that
ensures people maintain the integrity of the database and
pass it on with only incremental adjustments. from there you
get a stable core of information to load into all the monkey
skulls and you start to shift from a hamlet to a village to
a city to an empire and then your gods are all level'd up
and ready to go out and spread -- by force if necessary.
because if you didn't all take it this seriously it'd peter
out in a generation or three

oh, yes, i have it: perhaps god is real, but only because
millions of people spend time collectively simulating him
into existence every day, discussing what god said with each
other, theorizing about how to simulate god in more detail,
etc. and in this sense god is real, but like ChatGPT 50
years in the future. competing with other AIs. not the boss,
