that this is a niche subject... is it? if so, how much?
does anyone freaking build gaming PCs here at all? that,
first off, i'm mostly curious if anyone follows this

pandemic ordering electronics for the home; boredom ordering
cryptocurrency for the lulz. both of these leisure
activities: [we need grafix cardz, we need grafix cardz]

now, well, where are we at currently? everyone has rebuilt
their stuff to work from home, and now they're out of money,
and fuck off with that giant TV; it was silly to even
want...

nvidia, those troopers, have clearly not gotten the memo

LAZY_TITLE

that consoles turned into a dumpster fire as soon as they
were internet connected. because, then, "oh we can just
release the game with bugs and release updates with the paid
DLC later" instead of "we are making 5 million NES carts on
spec and if there is a bug ALL OF IT GOES TO THE LANDFILL so
let's get it right guys"

that being said: who the fuck would bother with PC gaming,
with this shit, microwaved $1200 duck feces, when you could
get a PS5 setup for half that? even though PS5 is
freeze-dried duck feces

how executives mistook a panini toaster for a hand scanner ~
the nvidia story

i'll just be off here in my corner with my industry
speculations and impenetrable sense of humor.

that's kind of it. i'm not sure gamers even rate anymore --
except the ones who are just twits who want to have the
flashiest rig with the most expensive crap possible; then
barely even use it for what it's capable of.

so what are we left with? is this just about reaming
professionals, now? if you do 3D modeling for a living you
need this, so you'll pay it? everyone else; it's not
relevant?

but, no, i think it's just price gouging. money is more
addictive than cocaine and nvidia in denial that GPU prices
should 1/4 of what they're asking if they want people to
give a fuck about the framerate on cyperpunk 2077.

so now they're like how about half and no, $800 MSRP, taxes,
shipping, markup, might even sell out because some people
can kind of almost afford this

leftovers, yeah. i think you can do just fine with a GPU
from 3 years ago so long as you're wary and don't buy an
overcooked one from a decommissioned mining rig.

did you know: once you submerge a card in flourinert, that's
pretty much it? good luck getting it to work again not like
that? same for any living creature immersed in oxygenated
flourinert
