i have a long memory. that, really, i do quite suspect the people with long memories are the ones that work on it; that actively index. mom problems? let's talk. my mom can instantly drag out quotes from arguments 20 years ago. so can i. then you get into these recursive, repeating arguments that cut increasingly deep channels like water damage, powered by the in-the-corner rumination of that indexing mechanism focusing its lasers on one stupid corner for far too damn long. my aunt called it "playing tapes," having that some argument over and over but worse that i've experimented. i've told people at work the same thing again seven or eight months later to see if they remember. probably the weirdest result was when i did that to someone twice and then a month or three later they kind of just... came up with the idea? and it was definitely not intentional. particularly fun is when i am able to jog someone's memory. "well we were doing this, and you were... and..." and then ~snap~ it comes back to them, "OH YEAH i remember now" but i do this to myself all day long. that i fucking remember this curse'd verge PC build video, and my interpretation at the time was... this is a disgruntled employee posting a video making them look like asses but took me until now to reconstruct the dots. |

I do check reddit mostly every day, but 99.99% of my time there is on r/pathofexile, since it's the most active forum for the game unfortunately. The most reddit thing you can really do is what you did: completely skirt a direct point made and just attack the user. the POINT I made, was a direct reply to your post. There was no blame assigned, just a set and setting, and it wasn't even the reply to your topic. The rest was. Now, I don't expect you to actually tackle my actual point without resorting to an attack on, I guess, the type of person that would have the fucking nerve to compile 10 links like that-- because that's ACTUALLY how someone one reddit would respond. I never said she was tough-- my mom's a huge softie. She DOES keep a well stocked liquor cabinet though. The real issue up there for the holidays was that there were too many people using dogshit internet, and I couldn't play any games or really stream anything. So I got up to some browsing shenanigans. I can't do much about you writing the argument off on account of the vocabulary.
