like three different beatles songs smashed together: blackhole sun, won't you come [won't you come] story c.c. told was, 45min drive back from the studio, just heard the phrase "blackhole sun" on the radio, and what would a song called that sound like? that, cool band names thread, rite? i've written entire songs because i came up with a cool name. and, anyways, back to c.c. -- something like, "i was furiously looping it in my hed all the way back because i didn't want to lose it. then i sung it into a tape recorder and went to sleep. then the next day i woke up and added chords and made it real" there is more: he didn't have that kind of leslie stuff, that reportedly that put a different spin on it but, i dunno, this is how you write a song, i think |

i don't know. i guess i'll just go back to: he hears "blackhole sun" from some DJ chatter on the radio, and, that's a great track name, what would it sound like? that 2/3 i'll just be noodling around, and, alright, some momentum here; eventually a track. but the other 1/3... i basically come up with a track name, and it's not the track name that commits me, but when i'm like, okay, what would a track with that name sound like? and yeah, that's the other 1/3 |
