i've leaned on the internet heavily for most of my life, but it's a mistake to assume i can't do without internets -- it's simply a big shift for me. awkward, uncomfortable, now what, etc -- and i have been moving that direction over the last few months. i don't think it's unique to be saying hello to 40 and feeling "the magic is gone" [tiktok is some chinese shit for people who spend half their life preening in the mirror on ADHD meds, elon killed twitter, and microsoft owns discord killing forums, sam altman a big reddit investor as they go public] and deciding "fuck this shit" and "i actually don't need to be constantly connected" and the biggest problem is that i try to talk to my neighbors and they're STILL the most tiresome bores ever |
