Archer is advocating for women’s colleges to receive a federal designation, similar to the one given to historically Black colleges, in order to get priority for certain grants. And I am just thinking: Hi, do you remember when women went through all sorts of crap to get into male-only colleges? Hi, do you remember complaining that the boardroom is all boys? Then it continues “They’ll speak out, because they always do. Then that’s when the women on campus become uncomfortable,” Coffey said. “They’re like, ‘Oh, maybe I shouldn’t go wear this to class. Like, this is a cute fit, but I might get heckled by a man.’” ...kind of like how men can no longer say certain things in the workplace? i suspect this will all go nowhere; i'm just laughing at the hypocrisy |

men are vicious beasts well i certainly dont feel like one, but as long as there is rape and murdering women going on at this rate i grant them some female only colleges. i dont think seperation is the solution to anything but sadly in this day and age there still might be a need for some for this. and yes society is totally schizophrene considering this matter. thats who we are right now. |

that really, yeah, this is about some catholic-y enclave of women having a meltdown that soon men would be in their midst. irony is, who would want to be the school integration experiment, the first men to sign up for this crap? will there be enough available bathrooms, or will they have to hike a mile from class to pee? some guys would obviously be like, "hurr hurr it's a college of all women, gender ratio, yeah!" but i suspect they'll have the sense to avoid making those the first few male students. instead they'll just accept some nice religious boys who say "well it's a good school and jesus is popular there" and none of these women freaking out will likely have the slightest problem. it's just satisfying to see the hardcore man-bashing crew lose their shit, though, i have to admit. |
