i guess my reaction here is these are all very unique letter
choices for names and if you started trying to mash them up
together it'd probably go well

me too. I actually ended up listening to björk because I
wasn't too familiar with her discography. really like Mark
Bell's work on Homogenic, and there exists an acoustic
version of Human Behavior which I didn't think was possible,
I didn't expect it to sound decent. maybe our boggles
gudmunsdottir acoustic jam trio could materialize in real
life

started off with debut today. the house elements on that
album might not have aged that well, while the album overall
still is gorgeous and mindblowing, homogenics electronic
style is lightyears from that. my most played bjork albums
would be debut, post, homogenic and vespertine. a collab in
my mind would be near as versatile as all their back
catalogues. and i did wonder if there ever was a vocalist
version of druqks and if anchor song could be matching
aisatsana at some points. same for human behaviour and
vordhosbn. whether bogdan humming could accompany bjorks
singing and what percussive elements mr james would find
alongside them. and what bassy bogdan escapades would make a
more to life than this party track. actually i could imagine
bjorks talking vocals go along quite well with those. aswell
as an alberto balsam downtempo track. i really wonder if
singing slowly to druqks style fast tracks would work too.
im sure she would find a beautyful way.
so they all could do a great performance, creating new stuff
from bangers to chamber music aswell as remixing/accompaning
each other imo.

what would they use to build songs?

i think bogdan's humming could fit in really well with some
of björk's more atmospheric pieces, or maybe the
experimental ones like triumph of a heart on medulla, and as
for aphex I don't know. I haven't listened to his
discography in depth, I only know fingerbib and alberto
balsalm. I listened to björk's biophilia two days ago and
the chorus on mutual core sounds like it could've been made
by bogdan

i miss more rhythmic and fast songs in björks later
releases.
her earlier albums seem a better mix of intense emotions and
optimism for me, so i still enjoy them more, but thats
artists development. love that she is still passionate about
it and has all the freedom to do what she wants. good things
come from it.

I followed/enjoyed her stuff since Debut until, say,
Vespertine. But then I got more and more into [electronic]
music without singing, yapping, lyrics and telling me what
the artist really feels. Idc, really. I have my own
"feels".

Both Post and Homogenic have some brilliant sounding
moments, also thanks to guys like Mark Bell, their
production skills.

Selmasongs has that great duet with Yorke. And the
film/movie itself is not bad. And excellent ost production,
also by Mark Bell.

I still like first Sugarcubes album with Birthday on top.

My taste changed with time. These days to me she's too
fucking annoying, pretentious and screams too much. I throw
her to the same "hey look at me I'm an artist" bag together
with e.g. Lady Gaga, Grimes and Billie Eilish.

So far I really like Atopos
She doesn't scream anymore and the lyrics aren't too
pretentious
Give it a listen

Loved the first three albums and the remix album. Haven’t
kept up much since though I remember liking Selma songs.

We’re all getting on a bit lol.

Mr Mathers has piqued my curiosity!

All in all she’s one of the good eggs, as belb would say.
Didn’t understand the wailing album and didn’t try to.

I’d have love to be a fly on the wall when she was with
Mathew Barney. They probably spent nights in drinking
Horlicks, watching gogglebox.

What is the wailing album? Post? I don't like that one
either but I think it has a few good songs. It would be more
fun to be a fly on the wall while she was filming the Pagan
Poetry music video. Does your name start with B by any
chance?

i like the bangers like "army of me"

the ones where she's emotionally screaming about icicles or
something as granular synthesis jobs; not so much

army of me is indeed a banger, weird bassline/melody combo.
i fell off around vespertine but by god did i listen to that
album a lot. the remixers björk gets in are always quality
too

new single

god she's running up and down the same scales again,
i'm no musicologist but she falls into a similar "yearning"
melody every time
