for some reason, i decided to make a lil' EP about this guy ~ ~ it's not really my best EP. but he did get an EP out of me; can't think of another actor that has. |

that chick who was only in a handful of sopranos episodes, upon hearing the name paulie walnuts, cracked: "...he's still alive?" and i view this as one of the wonderful sopranos meta-jokes. like: shit, this guy is still playing this character? but he was that character. it's a bit iffy, that once this guy genuinely was beating people up for loan payments. i'm more a fan of the part of his life where that stopped and he just wove himself through loads of great shit over decades in particular, it was sort of a subtle genius having him go neurotic in the sopranos. the sort of thing you only truly appreciate ages later, precisely like picard's neurosis in TNG. i do believe that, to take the sopranos role, he demanded it in his contract his character could never be a rat. it must be strange living your life as a movie character don't worry about my album. i just linked it, because about him in sopranos |

there's a scene in sopranos where Paulie is in a hotel, sitting neatly right on the edge of his bed watching and old comedy movie. Tony is in the room next door, hanging out on his balcony. He can hear him laughing. And he's just fucking disgusted with Paulie, disgusted that anyone else can have a good time, have a moment to laugh. The look on his face listening to Paulie laugh is priceless. Tony had a real jealous streak. I havent watched it in several years but that scene stuck with me. Really good writing on that show. |

i more remember him fighting over a mustard packet with michael imperoli, talking about how your shoelaces get piss on them when you walk into the bathroom, and firing his priest because he feels like his priest isn't holding up his end for the protection money he's been paying |

"head shot" is the russian beast going down right before they're never able to find him again, that shot, sample on loop "the trunk," that's where paulie is taking a phone call during the screening of chrissy's movie at an awkward moment columbians, a dishwasher full of cash after he gets kicked in the crotch it is also hilarious to me where you get a brief glimpse of his home life and he's just sleeping on this tiny brutal military cot |
