There's something really, really sad in the interludes. 4
has more emotional punch to me than any other RDJ track.
It's one of my absolute favorites.

Lol
See there’s this shitty thing called getting old…

Life will never be as great as when we were younger
Music changes, our minds fall apart, our bodies change

But also there are great things to look forward to
And finding newer music or stuff you’ve never heard is
fun

So in summary kill yourself and everyone you know
Because since “4” this world has gone downhill and
sucked

Or not….

i actually don't listen to aphex much, other than his more
recent stuff. i was on a walk just a bit ago, and i thot:
"girl/boy song... heck, i haven't heard that in literally,
like, years." so i stopped my rhythmic plod to
squarepusher's male pill part 13 -- probably a good portion
of the trigger for this -- and punch it up on the tubes. the
backwardsy acid fx strings, yes, just as nice as i remember.
very intricate snare work. quite good

but also, like, some of that stuff seems very thin to me
now. well-written, for sure, but thin. he was stuck on a
powermac or something

4, though, that I've definitely put on within last year.
