this reminds me of when i made a thread on watmm because, like, i picked a booger out of my nose and it looked exactly like the afx logo and so very carefully i got my camera, switched it to macro mode and got some very crisp shots, all whilst balancing it on my finger. i didn't want to risk damaging it. then i ate it. the thread went over well on watmm... definite success. the difference, here, however, is that i didn't try and do something like this deliberately, then i got banned from watmm and escaped into a functional adult life by the skin of my (afx booger covered) teef |

you know what, i really can't reconcile it. threads like that, ok, awesome, great job! but then equally retarded threads, or even one with a coherent point, bad dog, behave yourself maybe it was just about the relative success of the thread, and if all my threads had been successful, there would have been no drama, no ban. but unless you are willing to try and fail, you will never innovate. you will just be some fat person desperate for attention on the internet, from aphex twin fans, and you will get it, and it will haunt you for the rest of your life. like, if you ever get it together, someone at work will still be like: "hey, is that your massive gut in this image? lol!" and didn't mom say something about the wrong sort of attention? it's like that thing where friends keep egging each other on until everyone is doing shit they'd usually never, they know not to... but it's some farty forum and it's all normalized sounds kind of familiar. |
