pretty much the only reason i keep my ps4 around is to start up a chat party with my buddies now that we don't live around each other anymore. we still hang out on fridays, but virtually instead of drinking at some bar irl; i swear like half the time we're not even gaming, just talking bullshit.
i don't really like new games anyway, mostly been playing ps1 games like chrono cross, gex, and gekido on my old ps3. sometimes i play civilization on my computer.

what are your current multiplayer games?
buddy nights have long gone, but today they are coming over. they play online only these days too. bud #1 only plays racing in vr today after years of call of doody.
bud #2 is a rocket league fanatic.
i have a 2 player arcade cab and recently mostly played nba jam, fighting games and beat em ups. im feeling a bit like mortal kombat II today. its so direct. but maybe i roll down the canvas and we´ll play cuphead or ride3 on the projector. there also still is a wii connected. i´d love to try house of the dead, only one of us has a sore shoulder and cannot lift his arm so that that.

rocket league is the only game i've ever rage quit and then uninstalled; never liked how literally every match it would put the trash players on my team and absolute gods on the other team.
i used to be a huge battlefield fan, but stopped playing after bf1; it's a shame 2042 is so trash. we played bf1 together while it was popular and then rainbow 6. probably gonna start playing doom eternal again for my fps fix, but can't really think of a good multiplayer fps any of us have played together for awhile though.
usually my buddies & i look for a multiplayer game we can all play and for awhile now it's been gta v. before that, we played ark.

like the look of ark. and it has freaking dinosaurs!! that alone almost made me try it. but i havent played any fps online since the exceptional avp after the single player completion. its not my genre.

sometimes i just play deus ex: human revolution or fallout 3 kind of like mental chewing gum, esp. fallout 3. but i haven't bothered in ages. partially it's that i don't really have a comfortable setup that will run those. i paid the $5 to pre-order a steam deck but i'm still trying to decide if i should do that. i have like 40 games on steam and i've maybe played half of them, ten of those for only a few minutes. like, humble bundle was axing all their linux downloads end of last month, hmm, i bought something there? so i log in, and, no, it's a bunch of codes for steam. so i punch them all in and now i have another eight games i haven't tried yet. and if i get a steam deck, either i will actually play them, or the steam deck will be a waste. i'm not sure. i may have to get a TV or something too. or just fuck it i dunno
i used to play FTL while on the train; that's still good sometimes.
