the bumper-sticker campaign in the US has the slogan,
"Autism Speaks"

...and i always think: autism does not speak. it yells
inappropriately

If you don’t like yer werk and don’t see a realistic
future in it then change.

You could learn something from this autistic person or teach
them a thing about IDM.

what's cool is even though he's a zoomer, he knows of aphex
twin. but i did talk to him the other day about idm because
we both have eclectic tastes in music and i'm trying to get
him into some other artists. we usually talk about how
everyone are normies or share the music we listen to; i
played him autechre the other day and want to see how he
feels about breakcore in general. i'm going to quit next
week (if i can make it until then).

goes "i have to leave now" and just walks off staring down
at the floor

Mr. Hev…
What do you do that your unhappy with, job wise?

And do t be afraid to say what it is.
We all—-I have had a million jobs and some of them were
very shitty. Aside from fast food, never did that tho

i was procurement specialist & inventory control/management
before at a failing company that i had to leave, but after
not being able to find work, i applied for an entry level
warehouse job fulfilling orders/packing boxes or some shit
just so i could do mindless tasks for once and have no
responsibilities because last place i basically built up the
entire system, did everything, and had little room for
error, but they pulled a switcheroo on me at this new place
and put me in shipping & receiving the day i started. you'd
think it would be easy...but as soon as i showed any
semblance of intelligence & aptitude, they dumped the
workload of two other departments on me and introduced a
bunch of new processes.

the problem is i'm not a warehouse worker i.e. i'm much
smarter than those drones and people are always surprised at
why someone as competent as me would choose to work in a
warehouse (because it's supposed to be easy and i only like
using my brain power on my own creative endeavors outside of
work, never for someone else or to make them money).
sometimes they try to turn me into an office worker
eventually at these places, but fuck those guys; i'm not an
office worker, don't like office culture, and am usually
surrounded by people with college degrees that are vastly
dumber than i can believe when i venture in there.

what i've learned in life is to hide my intelligence because
all it means is you get burdened with more responsibilities
and are held to a higher standard than everyone else. dumb
people get no responsibility and are basically held to no
standard while i just get heaps & heaps of more work & tasks
put upon me. they get the benefit & privilege of low
expectations while i never have. i've actually always
enjoyed holding myself to a higher standard...but i'm
beginning to get burnt out on it at this point.

i have an armed courier position to look into this weekend;
i would get to carry a gun and drive around by myself/with
one other person all day, so i would probably like that.

Very wel out and your very well spoken!!

I’d sY make IDM music and get Rich (no pun/pun intended)

Can we trust you with a gun lol

Yeah, everything happens for a reason.
I’ve had wonderful office jobs that pay way to much and
eat donuts that I love and a few warehouse jobs where I’m
the only person with full set of teeth that I also liked.

The people or lack of that you work around can make a huge
difference in a days life and work

Benefits and hot chics in the workplace also help!

Love, recycle

at this point i'm only trying to save up enough money to
build a hut in the middle of nowhere, so i don't care what i
do for the next few years as long it affords me that and
isn't absolute shit. at least we get donuts tomorrow
morning.

drone jobs are great for motivation and inspiration. given
the workload leaves room to do what you want after. its a
delicate balance. havent really been able to make music for
a while now, because daily work routine didnt allow for
staying up late and routines shifted in general, but there
are other hobbies and handyman tasks that can be done in my
free time. im happy.

goo see to your hut dreams, only return for occasional or
seasonal work to pay the bills. try not to lose contact to
civilization tho

window of my life and i'd yet to try any sort of drug other
than caffeine [but i was quite into that] and i'd been up
all night off on summer vacation and i'm sleep deprived and
dissociated and watching a shitty .ASF rip of Akira and i
have to say by the time it ended i felt genuinely freaked
out

it´s one of the best comics i´ve ever seen and probably
the only series i read all 32 issues of. i don´t remember
tellin you about it, [what is it? whats the fantasy
(fantasia)] and i found this comic just a couple of years
ago. saw akira on a projector last year btw. still
outrageously freaky.
anyhow this comic begins with the eremite version of the
protagonist before he returns to the looney zoo civilization
is and it just came to my mind how hevquip like many of us
yearns to just escape it for doing what you really want to
do.

from what i am told, it was far too complex for a
movie-length thing and that's a large part of why it made no
sense. its making no sense heightened the effect of what
the fuck is happening to my brain

someone loaned me some stuff like ranma 1/2 at summer camp,
but honestly, i've really never been into comics. or graphic
novels or what have you

i was talking about the transmetropolitan comic, in case
that wasnt clear. which i deemed a incredibly fun read. imo
it stands out upon the masses of comics i was interested in
but didnt finish or buy after all. its full of civ satire in
a way that can only be graphically presented. for example
every item or ad, be that ebola cola or slow death
cigarettes, wife beater (gin) tells you exactly what it is
or what it does to you. every thing you desire is over the
top. its sci fi but then its unsurprsingly already our
current state of civilization and presents all kinds of
philosophical dilemmas. the pace and action and overall
story is gritty and fun to read and it looks just great.

now akira manga and movie are whole different beasts and the
movie only covers about the first quarter of the whole
story. it goes on way beyond the explosion. i read most of
it when i was with my first gf but havent gotten around it
since. either it hits you or it doesnt.

i am in the denver area. i met old school xltronic member
narkotic when he came out here from california several years
ago for a job conference. when i went to los angeles in the
early 00s, i stayed with someone i used to chat with all the
time on soulseek and we met up with another user off of
there as well. those are the only electronic music internet
weirdos i have ever met up with irl. if i move to the
midwest, i will meet up with recycle.

my job sucks, epic. i know i said i was going to make last
week my *last* week, but i found it more beneficial to hang
around for one more pay period. we had an external audit
yesterday & today and my quality control managers were very
impressed with how well i handled the auditors questions,
but then again, i'm not a brainlet. even though everyone
likes how well i do at my job and will want me to stay, i
have the ultimate form of leverage: not caring anymore.

the real kicker is i was online last night looking for jobs
and i found an ad titled "purchasing specialist & inventory
control" and i went "hey, that's what i used to do! maybe i
can apply there!". i clicked the ad...and it was the fucking
place i work at. they're hiring someone for a position i'm
qualified to do and could easily move me over to. and even
though the job ad went up just yesterday, i'm pretty sure
the new faces i saw walking around today were people they
brought in to interview for the position.

next week on friday i'm telling them that i quit.

i'm just going to smoke weed this weekend and work on music
all day saturday & sunday, i don't care anymore.

its really hard to project the outcome and you always meet
twice in life, so its better to play nice and act directly
and earnest at all times. it makes good things come to you
too. but my gf said i would be a great con man the other
day. cause i can easily think of ways to do anything
illegal. its the paranoia bonus i said.

i've met many people more than twice. it's likely he's met
most of 'em more than twice, many times over. and have you
ever considered that, by hanging the idea that you'll run
into them again on yourself, you subconsciously plant a
seed, and you may actually may make it happen because of
this when it otherwise wouldn't
