It's not great when they really disrupt things as well as
interupt other people's conversations. Both urb and I
spotted acidpants as a troll within a few of her posts.
Read closed threads 'Drugs pt 2', Psychadelic Experiences,
or any other made by acidpants tonight to see the difference
between a troll and someone just lying about knowing/being
afx, I would have no problem with that. =)

The webmasters should post the IP addresses of the banned
posters as a "public service." I know some "friends" who
could "make their acquaintence."

There are patches for IP addresses, and proxy web servers
that use different IP addresses. When I got kicked off
Napster, I just bypassed my banned IP number.

No, a troll will post in order to attract predictable

okay, if you say there is no right or wrong... then how can
you say that censorship is "wrong"... maybe others think it
is right... what your stating is just a big loophole.
posting that was a waste of time.

anyway, this site is property of phobiazero, if he doesn't
like something he can fucking do whatever he wants. i
respect your opinion, and i agree that anyone can say or
think whatever they want... but this is only an ideal, wish.
it really comes down to if this though or idea offends
someone else, and if it does it has to be delt with. fairly
or not.

I'm on an academic mailing list that discusses Marshall
McLulhan that's having a lot of problems at the moment;
someone posted this link to Salon.com yesterday and it's a
pretty good read if you want to see what Trolls do to a list
if left unchecked...

I've gotta admit to being slightly amused at Trolls & the
like, they can be very witty....but they do clog up lists,
make people mad and foster ill-feeling; bad news for little
communities like ours...

Read that article and I think you'll understand a bit more
why inaction is not appropriate when it comes to dealing
with this sort of shit.....

Back to the origianl thread let me correct myself ( had to
leave the computer last night): The part about forget the
past and future, throw that out. history is important, what
i meant to say is: your trying to make music but you just
broke up with a your girlfriend your thinking about her,
quit trying to make music because you cant concentrate on it
exclusively. Next point: There is just so much grey area,
for example most christian religions believe it is morally
wrong to be gay. Is it morally wrong?? you can answer yes
or no but whos right?? neither or both. Whats funny about
it is its happening right now, you know what you think is
right, the majority of the time you do what you feel is
right, everyone knows when they have done something wrong,
no ones perfect. Another example: for its not possible to
make a mistake: A chain reaction happens your not in your
home ciyt you make a mistake like take a wrong turn, then
you discover a record store because you took the wrong turn
and you find some bomb records for cheap. Was that wrong
turn a mistake? Any way you should never discuss :
religion politics drugs philosophy etc because its all
opinion one big debate.

I totally respect and appreciate phobiazero and everyone,
just acidpants got my boxers in a bunch, and i had to
express myself.

Fair play, without trying to sound patronising-

you're thinking and that in itself is productive. But I
wouldn't stick to it in normal everyday life, it depends how
far you take it.

From a negative criticism, you could go out and be a
complete Hedonist, do whatever the fuck you wanted because
it was "right" for you. However this adversely affects a lot
of people. What of the "Universal Responsibility" that the
Dalai Lama talks about?

Really it's like a small sub-theory in a shit load of
theory, you can come at it from a lot of angles.

But read more on the subject, maybe "Zen and the Art of
Motorcycle" maintenance is a good place to start to broaden
your horizons a bit. It's pretty much about thought and
perception. The only problem about discussing thought on
boards is that sometimes you come off like a nerd who loves
himself for having read something and it just has to come
out. Then you get someone else who has to completely diss
you without backing themselves up and everything turns into
an interactive web- Jerry Springer. Which is why I can't
handle being here much.

Also, I tend to say too much!

Piece, have a nice life.

Aphextwin.nu MB close allie, former MB ADDICT, even more
formerly the ghost that didn't say shit-

huked on fonix werked four mee.
right and wrong dont exist. its like someone said, we
beleive rape, killing, etc is wrong, because society tells
us it is. hell, those incas or mayans or whoever killed
their citizens and ate their hearts or somethin along those
lines. and the citizens thought it was 'right'. they might
not have liked it, but it was 'right' to them. rightness or
wrongness are all in the eye of the beholder.. or in the
hand of the executer... whatever.

Besides, your argument it tripe- everyone knows what right

oh please
ur telling me that every situation has an obvious right and
wrong that everyone knows?

aztecs thought canabalism was right
americans (some) think the death penalty is right
some think drugs are wrong

what about....... abortion?

theres no obvious right/wrong that "everybody knows"

people only know their OWN right/wrong, because its what
THEY WANT to think, it justifies what they want to do, or
because they just believe what society tells them

and just cus i awknowlege that its subjective doesn't mean
im sort of sadist or something like that...
im actually one of the most "morally upstanding" people i
know

its a pretty niave assumption that people who think this way
are automatically "BAD" people who dont know the difference
between right and wrong, and do all these horrible things
just cus they feel like it, with no consideration for others

here we go

sido here thinks abortion is NOT wrong
the fact that u two disagree proves that morals are
subjective

so, u can "just see" that these things are wrong
who r u, jesus? what makes u think what YOU see is the right
thing?

have u ever actually thought through WHY u think certain

please, tell me exactly why hard drugs are wrong

They're conciousness altering. They drastically affect the
way you percieve things (including your ability to tell
right from wrong). They often (not always)lead to addiction
and self destruction. They frequently cause you to behave in
an anti-social manner- have you ever got in a fight with a
crackhead or had your house burgled by a junkie?
They are in the long run perfomance deprecating, damaging
your health, lifespan and even your ability to feel
"happiness" through neurone damage.

Don't get me wrong, I don't go up to people who take hard
drugs and have a go at them or try to get them to quit.

Abortion is wrong. This issue is not a question of right
& wrong. The issue is do you give people freedom of choice.
Do you give people the option to legally chose wrong?
Everyone who choses abortion knows its wrong, sometimes
people decide to go with wrong. Cigarettes are a perfect
example people can chose to smoke them even though it may
kill them. Smoking is a choice. Your health and right &
wrong are two different things.

No one on this message board is illiterate. Are you an
English major? Do you have a degree in English? If so who
cares, were not being graded on this web site were
communicating. I make music and i paint. I have no desire
to go to school for english or philosophy etc. Schools dont
teach you opinions, and they dont affect your ability to
grasp concepts. (defending myself against an exaggeration)
No direspect this is my opinion.

I probably have some of the highest morals of anyone one
this site from what i gather. I am not trying to justify
peoples wrong doing. If your doing something wrong your
aware of it. Some people chose the Dark side, they know
they are evil and wrong and they choose to be that way.

Claiming a lack of restraint as throwing of the shackles
imposed by society is feeble. Strength is in control rather
than giving in to baser desires. If you just do what you
like all the time without caring about the consequences you
are no better than an animal.

How much harder is it to walk away rather than get involved
in a fight? How much more difficult it is to go against peer
pressure than give in...
