the other two voices in this track
'again' - is from Gorf/Galactic Orbiting Robot Force game
'midi received' is the voice off OMS on Mac OS9
dunno what the 'zzzzaaagggo' bit is.. could be home-done

wait i thot this thred was about how he slowed drukqs down
and re-recorded how it sounded by ear; released as syro?

offline EpicMegatrax from Greatest Hits on 2021-08-07 02:06 [#02610479]

i mean, you're all

shave my plums and ship me to Calcutta

and i see this before i click the link. and, alright, what's
all this then? i'm listening for something

and, hey, this is fucking syro. like a fuzzy, sloppy, 96kbit
version. that he's exactly the sort who'd slow his own shit
down to see how it sounds, and then say, "hey, that sounds
pretty good, i should do it over like that" and it's not
just because it does sound good, but he's thinking,
"i bet you no one ever notices" and lord knows how much else
there is of this.

but this is the rubicon. we know this shit is there now. i
have my own music to work on but i'm sure anyone with some
time and a budget anorak could dredge up more here

ginsberg alright in writing. would probably not have any
interest if not for him being quoted in Hackers (1995). i
saw it when i was 9 and it was the first time i'd heard
prodigy and orbital and underworld and

the starry dynamo, that's nice impressionist wordism.
genuinely like it. but i've never really gotten into
ginsberg, and i'm not sure if you have a serious point about
him i'm missing, or if this is just ginsberg being a dweeb
and the host being a twat.

on his snare drum skin, but didn't seem too interested in
talking about the rest of it

it was perfect for hackers (1995)

angel-headed hipsters, the starry dynamo, the machinery of
the night. if they quoted it right, and i remember
correctly. it's as suitable for hacking code at 2am as it is
for raves.

that, i guess, i never bought into that "cellar door" shit.
people always quote that idiot to seem like they've a clue
about what aesthetic language be. it's not a bad phrase at
all, but to say that's the most beautiful phrase in the
english language... get the fuck out, i will fucking slap u

so, w/rt the thing you linked, please link me the written
version so i can read it aloud to myself properly.

no it was

angel-hedded hipsters
burning for the ancient heavenly connection
to the starry dynamo,
in the machinery of the nite

lord of war; i prefer it my way

then zero cool sez: "that's ginsberg"

and the mobster teacher says: "nice, very nice."

then acid burn freaks; this is not his class. he's not in
his class. in twenty years i will have my boobs surgically
removed enjoy them now

you very clearly see them at least twice in the movie and
they kind of snuck it by the MPAA ratings i believe.

dont think i ever swung a running vaccum cleaner tube, :)
i met the whirly thing however.

built a bushman phone about 5 years ago, didnt quite sound
the same, but made a strong wooshing sound. love how the bad
guys in the scene look like theres a predator about to take
their heads.

that ziggomatic is around 108 bpm.
sound pretty cool. love the drums. wanna know what it feels
like around 120.
firing up traktor.
feels nice.
ranges 126-132 are fanstastic in key and tempo.
going back to original speed feels super.
feet go at 90 bpm.
brain at lightspeed.

minipops reminds me of a slowed down windowlicker in some
respects, stylistics similar in some respects but mood wise
totally different, Minipops what a track!

if you slow it down it sounds really cool

it would take someone on a modular synth a 100 hours to make
that
if at all and you can do it simply just by slowing it down

swinging the wood on a cord as dundee did in the vid :)
didnt he say he is going to make a phone call?

how can you not love the predator sound fx.
its also one of the few movies i like the military themed
music.

when i compare it to drukqs or collapse the amount of
amazing sounds in there, that would be material for a
hundred movies.
