mine is SAAB ~ SpAceAgeBachelor

Aphex Twin’s music might sound like it comes from
another world, but, in fact, it is recorded in this world.
Just like you and me, he puts his pants on one leg and a
time. This music is not beamed down from space. This in
mind, I ask him where he likes to normally record. “Just
in my bedroom sort of thing. I’ve got to have my studio
close to my bed. That’s the only important factor.”
Really, I am asking the most serious questions on this day.
I have unlimited tape and readers with an unlimited
attention span. So do you like lie on your bed and make
music? “I do that as well, cause I’ve got my laptop as
well. So I go to bed with my laptop. It keeps the bed warm
as well. If you leave it on, you can lie in the bed with
your computer.”

just my personal hunch here, but this interviewer person
probably did a far better than any of the others ever did

he said his girlfriend stepped on his laptop and broke and
made disappear a whole bunch (a load of) drukqs era trax!
very sad if true. also very sad would be if the trax are
still there on his drive somewhere and that he just doesnt
want people to copy his genius ideas from back then. really
want to hear stuff from that drukqs era, there was a craig
david remix mentioned in an interview with the guardian
(something really "aggro"). im not a yakuza and i wouldnt
cut off my finger to get to listen to that remix, but i am a
yakuza in that id cut off all your fingers and foreskins if
it meant i got to listen to it. just kidding.

he should have kept on with just the laptop, he was the best
laptop musician going... i reckon he stopped cuz he likes
being special and doing stuff that there is a bar to
(buying/using loads of gear)
He didn't lose the recordings just the mods - i reckon all
the drukqs trax were recorded to DAT just like everything
else - eg. "54 cymru beat" - 54 is the track index, like he
has on the other soundcloud ones
i think he should sell all his gear and just go back inside
the computer again
i am up a mountain on my battered old thinkpad rn, drinking
cider and listening to tunes... Hi!

like d00d, have u seen the house Jeremy Corbyn lives in
that's how he was so popular, not cos ppl liked him
because of that (although they did),
but with less shit you are able to concentrate better, on
the stuff that matters.

Also, nftView
Where exactly do these Gen-Zs bouncing out of the woodwork
to have a negative opinion on NFTs get their news? cos it
looks like theyve been primed against crypto...

We just bumped into the first light that we've seen. We're
about a 150 -200 yards from the site. Everything else is
just deathly calm. There's no doubt about it, there's some
kind of strange flashing red light ahead.
SGT NEVILLES: Yeah, It's yellow.
LT COLONEL HALT: I saw a yellow tinge in it too. Weird. It
appears to be making a little bit this way?
SGT NEVILLES: Yes sir.
LT COLONEL HALT: It's brighter than it has been...It's
coming this way. It's definitely coming this way.

drukqs had loads of great DSP and FM sounds, mad attention
to detail, granular synthesis, everything cool. must have
taken a month or more to make each track

thats all i have to say

conserved all his DATS cos of the glitches he might be
getting

his girlfriend didnt step on that laptop did she? it's hard
to tell, are there hundreds of drukqs era tracks or just a
few unreleased ones

the only known one is the craig david remix that he
mentioned in a guardian interview

id buy that for a dollar! shame about copyright and stuff, i
guess it's in craig david's hands.

the amount of samples on the drukqs tracks made me wonder if
there are lots of little simple tracks on his hard drive
like he build the sample packs up week by week and then
eventually had so many samples he could build complicated
tracks like cymru beats

or did he make each track from scratch? lol. i could ask him
questions all day long on soundclound but you have to
respect someone's privacy in the end innit

i think she did yeah, but Steve is saying he backed them up
to DAT before that happened, well hope he did, or at least
saved the hard drive somewhere,

yeah the temptation is great to keep badgering him, as you
say I wouldn't expect a reply to have of the bollocks I post
on his SoundCloud, he doesn't own me anything,

I have a real issue with curiosity, like the stuff I'm
interested in I just have to know all the details, don't
know why, knowing trivial little details is a delight to me
haha!

bout drukqs though yeah bit weird how we have never heard
any unreleased stuff even live, perhaps we have but no one
identified it. Find it difficult to think he has a whole
bunch of tracks with the complexity of something like
ziggomatic, i couldn't comprehend even doing that one track,
having the patience

http://www.audiosynth.com/files/sc-users-archive/v01.n225
ask James Mc ,he's seen some tasty ones a friend and me have
been pissing
about with for the last 4 years.

theyre even better now James!!!

Ive got this one patch for sc1 ,well I call it a patch but
it really is more
like a complete composition/track writing environment in its
24th
revision!,sort of a cross between a tracker/CDP by trev
wishart/Koan/very
very sorted waveform editor unlike anything else/sample
manager/voice
synth/LPC stuff and shed loads of other things ,pisses over
every other prg
out there badly!,
hehehe makes things like reason look like a casio sk1.
and no I havnt released anything using it ,too much fun
playing with it
~smile~

I often wondered why you dont see more BIG patches for
supercollider,I mean
for likkle fings that do this and that I prefer MSP or
reaktor to quickly
bang out stuff but I always thought the point of using a prg
like SC was to
create your own environments that do multiple things, not
just a few.
Anyone here done anything like that, apart from ALberto?

>>> are there hundreds of drukqs era tracks or just a
few unreleased ones
the amount of work that went into those things there are a
lot less, my guess. he was putting the effort he would into
10 or 20 trax into 1... hence the version numbers maybe

>>> umbroman sc-users quote
that was a load of bollocks to wind ppl up on the list
you can't do LPC in SC1... can only do it in SCserver with
plugins

despite his public pronouncements on not giving a shit about
what ppl think, i think he at least a bit upset that drukqs
didn't smash it with journo reviewers more than his previous
ones, mbe he had started listening to them when he hadn't
before...dunno.
I always listen to it all the way through once a month off
vinyl ... Hex Enduction Hour too.
