Once, many years ago, there was the perfect storm where I was playing Lords of Midnight on a ZX Spectrum emulator, and it was snowing outside, and Yulquen came on and,... it was so perfect, I was so happy. Very briefly, but I can confirm I was happy. Yulquen comes of course from the album Amber. Autechre's best album. An album they have failed to ever match the quality of again. Which is a shame, as they showed such promise. |
