Hopefully something in the next couple of years. Several
releases in a sort time span would be great like what
happened in the early 90s. Im guessing cos of COVID
distribution and making physical records is a massive pain
in the arse now

Dec 14th 2020. A dump of remastered stuff, digital. Limited
physical release of bits of it. Either SAW 1.5 or Surfing on
Sinewaves 2.

i 'cant' say much for the writing from this 'titbit' (was
that deliberate? i am leaning towards no; it was
accidentally funny) but i do appreciate that someone is out
there transcribing all those old scanned articles so i can
actually search for a bit of text and find the one i want to
reference as opposed to having to manually dig through until
i find the one i'm thinking of

https://lannerchronicle.wordpress.com/author/hyperflake/ ~
oh whoops. i meant to say it's all lovely and perfect, hi
there.

yeah some of the more speculative stuff i will probably edit
away and only present the card hold facts. Dont need rumours
going round the internet that there are tracks called bum
and pee pee

regularly

how do you mean? if you could help in anyway that would be
great

offline EpicMegatrax from Greatest Hits on 2020-08-25 02:57 [#02605653]
Points: 25274 Status: Regular

i mean i would clean up the articles and add apostrophes
etc. at points where their absence irritates me, but would
probably leave the more amusing typos like 'titbit'

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2020-08-25 02:59 [#02605654]
Points: 31039 Status: Lurker | Followup to EpicMegatrax: #02605653

yeah titbit i did intentionally cos it made me laugh, yeah
sure that would be great. If you ever find any scans,
interviews articles or information you think the site could
use let me know. Let me see if i can add a second user
account

i also think you missed a prime pun not naming it
lannerblog, but it's already named well enough and may as
well just leave it as is

this is where discord makes sense. if you manage to add me
as an editor, anything beyond basic cleanup tends to need
some discussion. like, i dunno...

This short interview in my opinion is a reflection of lad
culture and the sad state of music journalism in the
1990’s. A real relic of its time.

"in my opinion" -- don't make any references to yourself
while writing this, but also find ways to make it clear this
is subjective, right?

"This short interview reeks of the sad state of music
journalism in the 1990s -- absolutely reeking of lad
culture; it is a distinct relic of the time."

and at that point i'm rewriting it far enough that i should
runnit bayou

oh, even my example i used "reeks" twice; no good.

i commit all sorts of grammatical atrocities on discord;
even here as well -- but something else takes over when it's
a published article

yeah im still finding a writing style i guess, some of the
earlier stuff has perhaps to many of my own subjective
opinions attached to it. Do what you feel is necessary

wouldn't mind fully writing up myself.

Just let me know what you had in mind, im pretty easy
going. As you pointed out before I want it to be 95% factual
as you said a place where you can look up stuff for
reference

I know your quite technically minded i think i might need
help at some point in the future with an article on the
soundcloud tracks. there is a googlespread sheet out there
that contains a shit ton of information. If that could be
parsed in some way and presented on the website that would
be fantastic

export from google sheetz as CSV and wordpress has enough
geegaws that you might be able to just load that in as a
spreadsheet widget without any further bother.

i have rewritten to the article to my editorial standards,
with apostrophes and everything, and left you notes on
discord DM. if it is to your standards i will perhaps do
more; timeline depending on the absurd bullshit
rollercoaster of trying to find a new rental unit i am
currently on

what a site,
can easily get lost in those archived oddities.
wonder if ruichard remembers all of it.
might be quite a trip down memory lane.

could you by any chance try to make it possible to sort the
orders dating from old to new or vice versa. "the dice man
interview" entry holds no date although it could be
pinpointed roughly to the release date of mentioned warp
records compilation album it was printed on.

The site's really good Hyper. I agree with Epic that you may
have missed a trick with Lanner Blog, or maybe Richard D
James Website, Polygon Windows Update, Selected Ambient
Words, ...I care because you still do (apparently),
WordpressLicker, Donkey Rhubarb Rhubarb, Blogphace, The
ultimate, unofficial DJ Olive Internet Resource or Xltronic
v3.

That Select interview, I remember reading it at the time.
I know what you mean about it being "laddy" (and you
wouldn't get it today, unless he was Queer, and then we'd
never hear the end of where he/she/they stuck xir cock) but
I think at the time he was probably relieved to answer
questions that weren't "Do you really make your own gear? Do
you?"

wonder if theres more druqksy kind of stuff coming up
cant believe its almost 20 years , im all in for a
st michaels mount sized bucephalus cockver10 release,
along with a jynweythek nannou3.
or whatever alloy hes melting up these days

I remember the day drukQs came out. I was working just off
Oxford Street, central London, at at lunchtime I went to the
big, flagship HMV store to get it. I can still see the
missized vinyl on the floor (why didnt I get one?), I bought
the CD and took it back to the office fully expecting to
blow everyone's minds... and then feeling embarrassed about
it, and switching over to The Other People Place's album
which I'd also bought, luckily.

You can put that anecdote in your Universal Syndicator
feed.

like a cruddy local newspaper, hence chronicle. Lanner Blog
is good yeah. I suppose the reason i didnt pick blog is when
I think of blog i usually think of some desperate teenager
moaning about their life! but yeah good pun

name were the same but the tracks themselves were all
totally different drukqs outtakes
