so i suppose you start with the whirlygig concept, except it's a pipe with a little flip-flop. a full flip-flop would be too large. in fact, i think you'd need all sorts of sizes, big, little, dozens of 'em. the structure and choice of varying sizes, which, where, and how many, forms a moving wind composition. perhaps introducing gearing, which would allow you to move bigger flip-flops more slowly, or at least introduce additional rhythmic aspects, further augmenting the composition
i have had a single fifteen-minute welding lesson my whole life and i doubt i will get around to building this
