of course, i would have to ask how they know a patch they
randomly generated doesn't actually match any cartridge out

Do we all agree that we miss the cartridge as a format?
Wildly impractical by today's standards, but something
undeniably satisfying about plugging a big chunky thing into
a big chunky slot. Bonus points for a spring loaded dust
cover doors.

and yes, sure. having to switch cartridges. there's both the
physicality that you miss moving from hardware to software,
along with a sort of headspace that comes from having to
switch from one giant chunky thing to another. sort of like
how part of all the "how to work from home" chatter has
people talking about having separate physical zones for
worktime and not worktime
