i've been chosen for the farm job in the UK i told you
about, i received an email which i already answered asking
for more information but i just wanted to ask you if you
could identify this as a scam (i smell it for the dbs
payment in advance)

Hello Marco,

Congratulations! I’m pleased to inform you that you've
been accepted for the UK Farm Operative role. We had a lot
of applicants, but feel you could be a real asset to our
client. I look forward to introducing you to the client when
you attend the introduction day on 21/06/2020, which will be
held on the farm.

Please see the original UK Farm Worker Job Specs.pdf

Let me know which farm you want to be placed, Elstree /
Richmond / Bromley area. All easily commutable from London
(free key worker travel) and I'm in the process of arranging
pickups from local train stations. Will you require a
pickup?

Next steps:

Please confirm you are able to attend the introduction /
training session on 21/06/2020 at 09:00 by replying to this
email.

Remember this role will require you to wear suitable
clothing, so please turn up appropriately. Further details
will be provided in the new starter pack, which will
follow.

This role does require a recent DBS check and with us before
the induction day. You can apply for a DBS check yourself,
however, we do offer a fast track DBS check at a cost of
£26. We will be processing the other successful candidates
tomorrow, so if you would like us to add you to this run,
then please do the following...

Complete the DBS payment: Click Here

This will be refunded by the client and on your payslip,
upon successfully completing your first week's employment.

Once completed, please reply to this email with...

Your passport { The number is sufficient }
Your driving licence { if valid }

Of course it's a scam. Once you make the payment they'll ask
for more payments - for training, equipment, lodging,
administrative fees, travel fees, vaccination fees... any
job that asks for payment up front is a scam. With all that
information it'll probably also be identity theft. Also,
these scams always sign off with a name that is two first
names, like charles stewart or peter gary or david kevin

I mean there are scammers in Naples but more of a classic
type, this is ruthless cos apart the small cash they imply a
life change in the person scammed. Maybe they give you the
benefit of th doubt once you gave them hundreds or
thousands. Stuff for the mentally ill.
