What limits that which can be?

Some things can be. For instance: the forms of triangle and
circle -- ∆ º -- can be. They are beings (abstract
beings, one might say).

But not everything can be. A circular triangle can't be. So
there's a limit to being.

How do you understand that limit? What is that subtle force
which limits that which can be? Is it ABOVE
being, because - like a king or ruler - it limits being?

Some things are simply necessarily true and nothing causes
them to be so, which is why they seem mysterious: we're used
to thinking in terms of causality. But if something caused
them they'd be contingent, which is absurd.

well obviously, a thing exists if it is descended from the
realm of pure forms

I can’t help but think of Sartre. What a bore. But in this
context he comes to mind.

i think the whole post is built around the circular triangle
thing which is the most original, but i get the feeling when
looking for a job really

Must we not first address what it means to be a thing?

Owls have no limits. I've seen them in the trees at night.
Hooting owl slang to taunt me.

They are cunts, but I respect them.

as proof of my craft beer credentials, i present
this album cover, which is months and months worth of
craft-beer six-pack cardboard sorted by brand, variety,
color to look like an audio waveform.

i do suppose i had help. i didn't drink any of the arrogant
bastard ale, or any of the sierra nevada porters. fuck, i
think that actually goes back years. from back in the day
when i was making cardboard collages. i'd just save them,
sorting as i did, and eventually i noticed it would make a
pretty good foto. shortly thereafter, i sent it to the
recycle

totally wrong thread
this mistake will haunt me forever.

numbers don't exist. we made them up.

*rubs hands together gleefully*

Then by making them up differently, 12 could be a prime
number? 5 could be the square root of 9?

numbers don't exist. we made them up.

what if, instead of 1, 2, 3, ... , N our cognition evolved
to speak in terms of relative scale? sort of like we have a
few, a couple, some, many, scads, etc. but with much more
granularity

A circular triangle can't be

just turn the straight lines into slight arcs

meanwhile, a triangular circle would be more like a circle
squeezed a bit into a triangle

humans will say, "looks good to me!"

if dogs had invented english, they would, perhaps, instead
say, "smells good to me!" because dogs smell far better than
they see

epic I was just kidding about the racism, I'd been reading
about Paul Feyerabend's concept of epistemological anarchy,
in connection with traditional tribal perspectives on
science and math, which is where that joke came from.

there could be a circular line travelling through a
triangle
There could be a triangle circulating in between the axes of
a rectangle that's shaped like a large circle which ends up
giving you a migraine.

>>> A circular triangle can't be
in vector graphics, if you are drawing a circle u set the
number of lines you want to draw, if you set it to 3 you get
a triangle, if you set it to a much bigger number you get a
circle.

ie plotting cos() and sin() for x and y for that many points
- circle and triangle... makes me wonder if this is a trick

well, anyways, yes, that's what i was getting at, myself.
there is no such thing as a circle, truly, anywhere. zoom in
far enough and eventually it'll be off a bit. it's a concept
used to classify sensory input

it's also a lil bit occult, depending on what books u read,
point, line, triangle ... circle... triangle being the first
shape that is a shape... mind body spirt, form force
conciousness, affirming denying reconciling, heinz beenz
sausage n' chips

hold in mind whilst meditating... coloured triangles of all
