i actually uninstalled iplayer because there was literally
nothing at all worth watching anymore

all4 is alright, at least whoever is commissioning editor
isn't a total dipshit. rewatched "flowers" recently, it's
the best thing i've seen in ages, in any genre (fanx for the
recommend steve mcqueen). "feel good" is quite good too, and
not as twee as the title implies

I approve these vintage TV recommendations, and add: The
Partridge Family

partridge family wasn't bad at all, actually. lassie, on the
other hand, could be prescribed as a sleep aid. though i did
enjoy watching them use telephones that didn't have the
ability to dial phone numbers

hmm look i tried to get thru flowers when it came out. the
first series was good. i loved its vibe but it became more
of a family drama than a smart comedy. the guy from the old
bt home hub adverts really wasnt the right casting choice
imo. the second series didnt work for me at all and i didnt
get all the way thru it

yeah the fast show was good, worth yr time. i haven't seen
it in ages, the ted and ralph sketches were brilliantly
done. wonder how well it stands up now... if you like the
fast show you'll probably like harry enfield and chums too

there's an episode of newsradio where it's the future and
the radio station is in space, powered by a reactor, and joe
rogan is brought out of cryogenic stasis to fix the reactor.
once reactivated, he just hits it with a wrench for a bit,
and then says, "uhhh, yeah, listen, we're all gonna die" and
i suspect this was an omen representing the ascent of the
joe rogan experience.

Everyone talks about Seinfeld and Friends but the real
quintessential TV shows of the 90s were News Radio, Third
Rock and that one where Brooke Shields inexplicably had a
job of some sort.

"White Gold" I found myself laughing at, and the TV series
they made out of What we do in the shadows, with Matt Berry
in it.

kevin and perry go large was on telly the other night
every time kevin throws a hissy fit and says to his parents
"goodbye forever" it cracks me up. eyeball paul is such a
cunt,i love the scene where in the limo he brags about
hurting animals or something and then kevin and perry go
'we'd never hurt animals, and the two women they're trying
to court insantly change their attitude and fall in love.
kevin's mum is fit though. never been to ibiza at all but it
looks like it would have been a laugh in the late 90s.
probably shit now? too many boner jokes for my tastes
though. i prefer titty jokes.

detectorists was cosy. liked series 1 and 2 but 3 felt like
it lost the charm. are there good bits in 3? sort of feel
like i got my fill of it
