I don't wanna hate on it. Lots of awesome people and an
interesting culture. But this (huuuge) place is fuckety,
fucked up. And Cringelord is just the end of it. Just a
symptom of a failed democracy, of a widely spread education
system for the ass and horrible working conditions

I've been living in New York from time to time (one year in
Montréal), but I would like to know how is living in the
states actually like these days?

Sometimes I think that if I would have been born there, with
a mom who is a cleaning lady and dad who is a factory
worker, I think I would have never had any proper education.
Maybe I would have stayed in my village, worked in a
factory, bought a gun and ended my life. Or started a
YouTube Channel

I'm really glad I live in history humbled naziland these
days

even a spoon-fed canadian nitwit should understand that
asking "how is living in the states these days?" is like
asking "how is living in canada these days?" and you're
combining quebec and saskatchewan into one blob and how does
that feel?

there is a feeling, almost, of a caste system arising. those
that program for uber, and those that drive for uber. those
that are youtube creators, and those who are youtube
consumers, and empty ashtrays. or would, if they weren't
banned

i suppose the vague upside is that anyone with a brain,
drive, talent, etc. has nothing stopping them from rising
above the muck to conquer the more timid mites

uber could be a solid business, grown sanely, but instead
they've opted to turn it into a pyramid scheme. now that
they've gone public and people have gotten paid, it will
gradually unravel over the next two years. the interesting
factor is that they still beat a taxi
