i actually hadn't even put thot to whether or not john conway was still alive. maybe it's overly sentimental to get worked up given that his ideas are there, will be there, and have not been particularly updated in years, and why do i care, given that i haven't even questioned john conway's continued existence. for all i know, he could have died fifteen years ago it actually reminds me of when steve jobs died. judge me if you will, but i cried. then, as now, i simply didn't expect it. |
