the best viewing order is casino royale over and over with
frequent pausing and rewinding to enjoy eva green's big yum
yums

re skyfall
the women are ugly
the story is boring
the baddy is mermaidmanishly gay and ugly and stupid
bond let's a pretty lady just die (the scene where she has a
drink on her head)
and the film is too long, im 1:23 in and theres an hour
left
doh

spectre aint too bad
the scene where he crashes the plane and saves the fit

Spectre gets more hate than it deserves because it followed
the bizarrely adored skyfall.

I've always preferred the books, very well written series,
make most of the films seems very shit in comparison

I went into Spyfail with a bad attitude because I knew it
was directed by that sanctimonious prick Sam Mendes and it
poisoned it for me.

He also did Spectre which I haven't seen but maybe it has a
better script...?

spectre has some better choices
the french blonde lady is fit as fuck
one of bond's enemies is quite tough, like a wrestler, big
guy,kind of cool.
the car chase is cool
it also has some dodgy retconning near the end that's quite
annoying.
i didnt give a fuck about judy dench as m, the new bloke is
much better.
money penny actually acts like moneypenny

New favorite adverb: mermaidmanishly

spoiler for spectre

"Oberhauser : It was all me, James. It's always been me. The
author of all your pain."

this is the main problem with Spectre...

in Quantum of Solace one of spectre's agents says "we have
people everywhere". loved the mystery of that, even though
it was corny. in spectre they explain too much, killing the
mystery and enjoyment.

i'm a huge fan of casino royale. watched it again just last
week or such

hated skyfall and quantum of solace. i'd rather rewatch
goldeneye

casino royale starts off amazingly and doesn't let up for a
good while. the parkour part, in particular. beautiful
pacing, and a sense of contrasting style. bomb man leaps
through a small window. bond busts through the drywall.
there are lots of solutions to most problems

Pretty much everything else he has made has been gash except
for the Netflix Jackie chan movie which was alright.

Casino Royale is amazing. Why they dropped the ball so
quickly with Quantum of Bollocks I don't know. Same with
Goldeneye, which is great, followed up by the dreary World
is not enough.

Before Christmas I went with my dad to see On Her Majesty's
Secret Service at the cinema, and I do recommend that one
as it's a good story and the humour sprinkled through is
genuinely funny. And you've got to have The Spy who Loved
Me, because obviously .

You Only Live Twice is classic, misogynistic bond that i'm
sure roger wilco will absolutely adore. after cheating on
some asian girl with a blonde, bond resumes with her. later,
an assassin targeting bond kills her because plot armor; he
barely notices. promptly has a sham wedding with another
asian girl

Well, the last line in the book Casino Roayle, after Vesper
kills herself, is Bond saying "The bitch is dead now."

The most offensive thing about the film You Only Live
Twice is that there's absolutely no need for him to do that
thing of laughably disguising himself as "a jap" by getting
a bowl haircut and putting on eyeliner. And no point does
he have to pass as a native, does he? I can't remember but I
don't think it mattered that much going up the side of a
volcano at night.

oh, psssh. you can hear it in his voice; he's put his
"armour" back up. he got close, he started to care, then she
died, now he's saying something cuntish to hide the fact
that he cared about this one. chiding himself for letting it
happen

meanwhile, bond doesn't even seem to react when aki dies,
and there are some bonus insults w/rt to vietnamese vodka

In the book it's a hard, brutal note to leave to story on.
In the film, and I know he says the "bitch" bit but
OBVIOUSLY they were never going to leave the film on that
fucking bombshell
. And arguably ringing up an old bloke
and then shooting them in the leg with a machine gun is a
better finale. But I know what you're saying and, of course
you're right, in either case, he's rattled that he's let his
guard down.

I will watch You Only Live Twice again and play a drinking
game (in between my regular drinking) every time Bond does
something grossly objectionable.

I used to be a Moore purist, but I've softened towards other
Bonds. Nevertheless I could use a dose of classic
Blaxploitation Live And Let Die right about now. Kananga!
Baron Samedi! Soul food, alligators, voodoo etc.
