“Cognitive-behavioral techniques such as a post-it on
your computer screen saying ‘DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE’ and
having colleagues remind and even penalize each other is
another way to reduce face touching,” Hafeez said. You can
also set periodic phone alarms or calendar alerts.

i'm sure my cow orkers will be eager to help me with this,
and that the phone alerts will be incredibly effective

stopped touching my face at gaming sessions with friends.
figured all the crisps and other junkfood on my fingers
helped nourishing spots. now i dont look like pizza the next
day anymore.
find it rather difficult to stop rubbing bacteria and grease
in my face at dancing events though.
anyhow touching your face nervously serves no purpose other
than making you appear weak. its actually not a bad thing to
get rid of. im sure a constant reminder delivering the
message: "youre doing something wrong" is not the right way
to do this though. just do it, youre a grown man and dont
have to be told mate .-)

i guess part of my annoyance is that i'm out-of-the-box a
bit OCD and i have things like "if i put my finger in my ear
it will only itch worse, i need to wait to use a qtip
instead, or, if one is not available, a nub of tactfully
wadded paper towel" and "i can't rub my hands over my face,
because then salt and oils from my forehead will make my
eyes burn" and, jesus christ, i'm bad enough already,
alright? can we not turn people into clinical nutcases,
please?

the other part is the fucking articles themselves; it's just
such shite. seriously, "Cognitive-behavioral techniques such
as a post-it on your computer screen" -- this was obviously
written by some pampered 20-something shit who thinks she
has a clue because she minored in psych

one of the reasons i do not want kids is that one of them
would lick the carpet or something and i'd have a small
conniption after witnessing it. needless to say, i am not a
huge face-toucher. i am also a compulsive hand-washer, and i
use far too many napkins. i would be unable to stop myself
from relentlessly driving my children to use too many
napkins as well, and that's before we get into, ahem,
cognitive-behavior techniques such as a post-it note

no joke, i have occasional moments of nostalgia for when i
was six and thought nothing of seeing what playground
equipment tasted like

(short answer: everything was crap except metal poles)

lol, i see :)
well in case it helps, i´ve yet to meet a sane person.
especially sane parent. guess its sufficient if you do
mostly good.
clearly you thinking about stuff like that may even raise
you above the bar,
a lot actually.

terrible what they taught children at times.
seriously dont ever show your kids this

its a childrens book which i got read. its about children
getting burned and maimed if they do not comply to sitting
still at the table or let their hair and nails cut.
