streaming pile of licensing crap

so there is this thing now where "we're launching a
streaming gaming service so you can game like you watch
nutflix" and google has launched, nvidia follows, amazon
sure to 800lb gorilla in eventually for everyone with prime
membership.

when google stadia launched, well, i have to confess, i
wished nothing but disaster upon it. i still do.

when nvidia launched a service, however, promising to
support games i already owned, however, i was significantly
more interested: i love fallout 3, and it's such a bastard
to get it to run on a PC, these days. my linux PC can run it
in wine at an exceedingly laggy rate, and my windows 10
laptop cannot run it at all -- perhaps this is some arcane
combo of config hax that will get it going, but, as of yet,
i have not had the time/energy to repeatedly bang my head on
it.

so, yeah, excited to hear "maybe i could pay nvidia a few
bux a month and use my steam license for fallout 3 and
actually get to play fallout 3 again" but today they
announce that most/all/whatever bethesda games are disappear
from nvidia now.

none of these services strike me as a sound investment
