What do ya'll think of the BBC? It used to be good but it's pretty shitty these days. I'd be all for cutting it back to 1 tv channel, keep the radio channels, make it less PC and stuff. More Nicky Campbell stuff less of the One Show.I don't think it should be scrapped completely because that would hand Murdoch too much power. They could completely scrap channel 4 and I wouldn't give two hoots.

i haven't had a telly in yonks but it has been slim pickings on iplayer lately. they still do good documentaries on bbc4 though and i listen to radio 4 a lot
it's the comedy output that's really gone down the pan though, bar a couple of the 6:30 radio shows, and they have been going for donkeys. on bbc tv i can only think of fleabag in recent years. all4 has some good ones but it's still largely older content. seinfeld, father ted, peep shiw, catastrophe, parks and recreation, community...
keep the licence fee, sack the head of light entertainment. sliding scale of tax, free for the poor. one of the best things about the bbc is the lack of adverts

I watch terrestrial tv. Though I often end up watching repeats on Dave or E4. BBC 4 has some great stuff indeed.

BBC4 is like BBC2 use to be like in the 1980's. Arts programs, Natural history programs I can't fault. Secrets of the museum is best thing for ages. Inside No 9 & Inspector Montalbano are the only things I don't not miss. I detest everyone of these contest programs on all channels.

I've previously noticed some people on social media saying that the BBC is politically to the right - which I'm guessing is a way of signalling fealty.
Nothing yet on whether such people are cheering this defundment thingy.
Don't fuck with it. Leave it alone.

I know for a fact they’re dropping over the airwaves TV within the next decade. Watch the license fee go and be replaced by £9.99 access to iPlayer.

When they gonna put all the reeves and Mortimer and never mind the buzzcocks and look around you and Armando panic I stuff on iPlayer? Then they’ll get my £9.99 a month forever.
