Mr. Bosworth also waded into the debate over the health
effects of social media, rejecting what he called “wildly
offensive” comparisons of Facebook to addictive substances
like nicotine. He instead compared Facebook to sugar, and
said users were responsible for moderating their own
intake.

“If I want to eat sugar and die an early death that is a
valid position,” Mr. Bosworth wrote. “My grandfather
took such a stance towards bacon and I admired him for it.
And social media is likely much less fatal than
bacon.”

twitter did the right thing banning political ads. i rather
scoffed at first, but the more i stew on it, the more i feel
it's the only solution: ban all political ads on social
media, because otherwise will become an ugly pool of slush
money. facebook clutches pearls about how they don't want to
tip the political scales, while quietly raking in millions
from special interest groups running ads intended to tip the
political scales. "but we don't decide who pays us the most
for advertising" is not a legitimate moral position.

did your grandfather love bacon too?

facebook's moral position is on it's knees with satan's big,
veiny cock halfway down it's throat

my grandfather probably loved bacon, but as samuel l jackson
would say, i don't dig on swine. i don't dig on facile
corporate bullshit either: bacon, sugar, masturbation,
crack, facebook just sux

re: the ol' five knuckle shuffle, i included it purely from
a dopamine-releasing standpoint. i guess most of us will
have experienced the phenomenon of "shooting dust" at one
time or another, and yet still felt compelled to go back for
one last hand shandy. ah to be 15 again
