just felt like doing a list.....since i don't know much
about Swedish/Danish/Finnish/Icelandic/ artist, i'll leave
that over to Raimons and Co.
Here are some of the most well known Norwegian artists in
electronica and a short description.......

-Röyksopp (funky beats/chill-out)
-Mental Overdrive ("Plugged" is IMO, one of the best
Norwegian albums; heavily distorted Atari beats, "ambient"
synth-chords....nice.)
-DJ Teebee (drum'n'bass)
-Biosphere (the king of ambient)
-Sternklang (drum'n'bass/funk)
-Subgud (Ambient techno. He once said in a interview that
Aphex Twin was like a God to him.)
-Päronsoda (Brazilian-oriented, jazzy beats.)
-Nils Petter Molvær (jazz w/elements of d'n'bass, beats)
-Bjorn Torske (house)
-Bugge Wesseltoft (experimental jazz)
-XPloding Plastix (funky, exp. jazz)

that's all i can think of now.

Pluxus - poppy electronica.
Robot - oldskool synthpop with nice vocals
Plod - nice swedish idm/ambient

And then there are SO many swedish house and techno-acts i
can't count them.

I might be wrong but I thnik MUM are swedish or norwegian or
Icelandic, yeah, i think they are Icelandic. For people: two
guys two girls, kind of lush electronica with soft breaks,
dreamy stuff like a softer version of AFX circa RDJ album
era. I think tehere were some mentions on this board before,
I'll have to browse it...

Theres some danish artists that might be interesting to you
lot =)

bjørn svin. wery wack techno with high pitch synth and
aggresive beats! i really love this shit, do yourself a
favor and check it out.

Future 3. Chilled out electronica, wery quite famous because
one of the members (thomas knak, also known as opiate) made
clicky beat for björks "coocoon" and some other tracks on
vespertine. =)

Theres a slew of others, but these would be worth your time.
oh yeah, and Aqua. ;)

ps, i love Röyksopp

Pan Sonic (Fin)
Hab (Swe)
Quant (Swe)
Tupilaq (Swe?)

The 3 Swedes are from DOT records. I've got this compilation
called The knights who say dot. Tupilaq's 'Pollen 23' is
great.
