i was at a bar, because i intended to visit walmart, and
walmart is far more tolerable after two beers. however, my
buddy lewis called me a few minutes after i'd ordered my
first beer. i could barely hear him over the din of the bar.
i decided to consume two (2) beers and one (1) giant pretzel
before leaving the bar and calling him back.

he's walking through the woods (i can hear confirmation of
this). he's going to a party at his family's. do i want to
go? ok, sure. i haven't seen him in weeks, months and this
is out of nowhere, but yes, totally, great to hear from you
again. we agree to meet in a gas station parking lot, and he
shows up precisely from the opposite direction i expect.
apparently, he was at the house where the party was, and
walking away from it, when he called me saying he was going
to it and did i want to go. best i can figure, anyways.

anyways, later, after the party, i drive him back to the
place he's staying temporarily. this lady whose place it is,
she's like... holy shit. zonked the fuck out. she keeps
asking the same question over and over again.

how much does your place cost?
and it includes utilities?
*three minutes pass*
how much does your place cost?
and it includes utilities?
can you taste the caramel on this popcorn? it doesn't taste
like caramel to me
can you taste the caramel on this popcorn? it doesn't taste
like caramel to me
i'm sixty-five, do i look it?
i'm sixty-five, do i look it?

then at moments she's randomly tearing up about her son, who
died. but then -- can you taste the caramel on this popcorn?
it doesn't taste like caramel to me. oh, you got a place?

bottom line: this does not seem like alzheimers. she
admitted to liking alcohol, but this seems more. what was
she on? ambien maybe? never touched that crap myself

sounds like either alzheimers or some similar senile
dementia, my mother in law is like that, same questions and
comments over and over.

RMS is an autistic dickhead and #metoo will always react to
him with spasmodic indigence. i will, however, continue to
use emacs, and GNU/Linux. if you call it Linux, he flips the
fuck out -- because it's GNU/Linux, ok?

his argument here, as i understand it, is that marvin minsky
-- who is, actually, whom marvin the paranoid android was
named after -- believed the girl to be consenting, and so
when you slap on the label of sexual assault, it makes it
sound far worse than it actually was.

lost, somewhere in the distance, is essentially, "yes, it
was bad, but the words you are using to describe the level
of bad do not meet GNU/Linux standards"

in high school a classmate launched some project and it got
slashdotted and RMS offered to donate money on the condition
that only. free. software was used. ok, sure,
lol

later, he found someone working on the thing had installed
an editor or something that wasn't open source, and he had a
fucking meltdown. oh, sorry, we'll uninstall it

really, it's sad. RMS has always been notoriously tone-deaf,
but everyone was like: oh, god, yeah, he does that. the
software is good, though, so whatever

the tech community appreciates his work deeply. the tech
community has also spent decades pretending they're not
familiar with his usenet posts

hard to say without knowing her. there's a guy in here who
maybe a quarter to a third of the time will open a dialogue
with the same question - "do you like david bowie?" i think
he's just another schizophrenic but he is getting old, maybe
60 or so, so i guess it could be another thing going on.

was she slurring her words? i know when i mixed booze and
benzos i'd slur like fuck but not realize it. ambien is
related to the zopiclone we get in the uk and that
drastically decreased my booze tolerance when i mixed it,
but it was slur / stagger not memory impairment that was the
giveaway with that.

long and short of it: dunno

Wouldn’t be Ambien, looks like there’s a mental issue,
that could of course be exacerbated by alcohol.

I saw an old friend today for a few Minutes at the mall.
He’s lost it a bit. He told me he’d been
dematerialisating” again, and that last time was he was
really lucky he materialised again. He also told me that
it’s annoying that he remembers that he played Woodstock
in a previous life, and often materialises the guitar. I met
this guy when he was in his late thirties and he was fine,
bit of a hippy, smoked his weed and painted, and over the
course of ten years I saw him slowly drop into a world of
paranoia, which itself slowly lead into foly. Nice fella,
though he once punched me 15 times. True story!

i asked lewis and lewis said, "oh, she's drunk." but, heck,
i've talked with lots of drunk people, and yes, alcohol can
cause some memory issues, but i've never seen it turn anyone
into the memento guy. i mentioned this and he kind of
shrugged, he didn't really know either

i heard some alcohol in her voice, but no, she was not
slurring. there were also no secondary indications; she
wasn't stumbling or anything

Stopped reading this obvious fabrication there.

that was a thoroughly entertaining video
i clicked on making album in a day and i am less impressed. i made
this in a day. also a matching-length fake leak of
exai, but that wasn't very good

nice. can you play this stuff live? are those recorded jams?
i think that would be fun, hearing that live. i can imagine
stoned dolphin being played in boiler room and people are
dancing first and then don't know what to do. haha. are you
really from cornwall? so many questions
