vantalblack i do believe you mean vanta black, which is actually sort of bullshit -- the artist who invented it (the one i was groping around to try and find ) got all sorts of patent/copyright/legal machinery and effectively declared that only he was allowed to use vantablack for art. which really does rub me the wrong way |

your linked stuff was tldr; so let me just say, that the artist is anish kapoor and he didn't invent it himself. he bought the exclusive rights to use it in his art projects that surely stinks, so another artist invented the pinkest pink, which anish kapoor is legally forbidden from using i have the exclusive rights for vantaLblack. its the darkest shit |
