Yeah its possible that AFX has something to do with
this....he owns the label fo christs sake.

Yeah, it's "six tracks" not "AFX tracks", good job Jand.

Anyway. I'm perplexed about the barcodes... is it only a
coincidence?

-

well, i'm from finland and i live in this "region" called
österbotten (in swedish, which is also spoken here) aka
osthrobotnia. sounds quite close to this "astrobotnia". i
think it's a stupid name anyway...

Yeah, I agree... ASTROBOTNIA could be a cover for elude the
attention.

sorry, didn´t want to confuse, i really read afx, but "six"
is the right one jand :)

but i still think the guy in some of the pics has to be
afx!!

Even tho it's not "afx tracks", I still think AFX has
something to do with AS...not long to go before we find out
for sure, I guess...

As for Barcodes...

Do a google on "Barcodes 666" and you'll find quite a few
pages that'll explain...even the guy who designed Barcodes
has put up a page as he was f***ed off with people asking
him the same question....

I'm starting to think about a collaboration between Ovuca
and AFX but nobody else.

i can´t fucking make anything out with that stars thing

"pusher, but you know :I

Richard D. James loves barcodes, this is sure. I'm not
thinking to the number 666 but about the fact that RDJ
always point out barcodes.
Think to the front cover of I CARE BECAUSE YOU DO (there's
only aff self-portrait and a barcode) or to the back of Come
To Daddy (there are big barcode numbers)

offline doki from cologne (Germany) on 2002-04-24 10:12 [#00191865]

that´s right, sounds good ... what do you think bout the
stars?

Trouble is, every CD must have a barcode so I don't think
you can read too much into AFX having them on his...

The Come to Daddy sleeve was designed by
TheDesignersRepublic and they are notorius for using
infojunk as part of their designs....so again probably not
to do with AFX....

I bet REPHLEX are reading all this and loving it....exactly
the sort of thing they were hoping to encourage, I reckon...

Good point woofer. On AB3(Vinyl) there is only a bar code
for a title.

Well spotted!

Yeah, AFX loves BARCODES.
I repeat, check all the other rephlex releases on
www.rephlex.com, i.e. Ovuca, Global Goon. B.Racdzinsky,
Cylob, etc... you'll never find barcodes number wrote on the
site... instead Astrobotnia pt.1,2 and 3 point of the
barcodes number... why???

yeah...but you have to have a Barcode on a release or shops
won't accept them to sell...

...can't see Rephlex going for the tired old 666/barcode
lark really...

Remember Occams Razor...The simplest explanation for
something is generally the right one...

hmm.. i chatted with a guy on soulseek who knew someone at
warp, who said it was ovuca. apparently he lives in
Ostrobotnia (österbotten in swedish..) which is in the
north of finland.. so i think it's ovuca. defenitly. and
it's damn good! i like the first part the best..
(is it the bloodhound gang-guy we here in the 'satan'-track?
sure sounds like him.)
