i was thinking about this at the bar. i was a huge, huge
star wars fan, before the prequels came out. i was stoked
for the prequels, which were actually only a slight let-down
@ phantom menace... then it continued downhill. then disney+
bought it, and announced they were throwing out the whole
"alternate" universe -- all the star wars novels i bought
and read for ages, nope, we're throwing those out. i
remember there was a mild fan rebellion when one of the
novels killed off chewbacca (it was a terrible novel, one of
the worst in the range, that was the real crime imo). but,
no, they just kill off han solo right quick. if they wanted
to turn it into spider man, they should have kept the novels
-- years of "originals" there

i'm still a huge fan of original, 80s star wars. the new
stuff, jeez, there are so many. i can't even keep up. i
don't care

Most excellent," Maul sneered. He could feel the evil
flowing like a tidal wave from this creature, and he knew
deep in his black heart that this was the pet for him.

Suddenly, a posse of blue-uniformed police officers burst
into the back room. "Put your hands in the air and step away
from the targ," they commanded.

"That won't be necessary," Maul said, waving his hand in
front of his face.

"Sorry, sir. The Sith Mind Whammy doesn't work on us. Hand
over the targ and no one gets hurt."

"I paid good money for that targ. Just who do you think you
are?" the shop owner demanded.

"We're the crossover police, and we're taking this animal
back to the Star Trek universe where it belongs."

Darth Maul strode up to the line of wire carts sitting
meekly by the entrance, and seized the handle of the first
one. Grunting, he tugged and twisted, but it refused to come
loose from its neighbor.

"Burn mightily, insolent machine!" the Sith apprentice
shouted in frustration, veins popping in his forehead.
Sidious nodded approvingly as the entire line of shopping
carts turned glowing red and melted into a heap of scrap
metal.

"The anger flows freely within you," he observed. "But now
you shall have to carry your groceries."

"No!" Maul yelled, looking around the parking lot.

didn't they dub him with a good actor

at least he would have had some personality, rather than
just a visual McGuffin to pad for an absence of plot

In the trailer when the camera pans past all these
Stormtrooper helmets mounted on spikes. I thought, hold on,
Finn's black. Loads of Stormtroopers must be black. Is this
ethnic cleansing?

someone was saying they wanted to make a boba fett movie, tv
series, but they didn't want to have to pay merchandising
fees to George lucas, that's why its the Mandalorian, oh
well I hope its good anyway,

That sounds like bs to me. They’ve not cut out
stormtroopers out of the new movies. I dunno, this is Disney
we’re talking about.

yeah its probably idle speculation, it is interesting how
there was a planned boba fett movie then we get this tv
series, I reckon that's probably down to the han solo movie
underperforming

the star wars books, "a barve like that" story of boba fett
of what happened to him after he got sucked into the
sarlacc. super fucked up and haunting; a total highlight of
the whole star wars book series.

can't find the full text online (yet) so have a wikia
