String theory seems like a mathematically consistent theory, but if you cant test it and it isn't falsifiable its not scientific, unless im mistake and there is some great circumstantial evidence for it, at the moment it just seems like an increasingly convoluted setup so people can get more research grants, "ah but this one has 11 dimensions and two intersecting p branes" |

it reminds me of the theory of ether and stuff in the 19th century sound plausible but could have no real connection to how the universe operates, I have to say it does sound quite near the little strings oscillating at different frequencies |
