ok but you need more modulation, sequencing and utility
stuff. A Maths, a Trigger Riot, some kind of rotating
selector.

what other stuff should i get that's good? i prefer audio

atari see...

what does the phase locked loop do?

"A phase-locked loop or phase lock loop (PLL) is a control
system that generates an output signal whose phase is
related to the phase of an input signal"

basically its trying to follow the freq of an osc that you
plug in it. the fact that it doesnt work perfectly is part
of the charm of the thing.

it can be used as freq follower, waveshaper, distortion, lfo
but not really. its a fun little crackle box, good for
experimenting

phase lock loop classic analogy is the pace car at a race
track (think keeping waveforms in phase)

voltage is water pressure. current is the water bill.
capacitors are toilets. here is your certificate for EE 101

xltronic's servers run on low-flush capacitors to be kind to
the envelope mod

Afx mentioned phase locking on an early squarepusher cover
