enid & rebecca - red curtain

seems like it's spam season here so i thought i'd (re)post
an old one. ambient / noise stuff from 2006, lots of buzz
and hiss from old tapes n shortwave radio

also while i'm spamming, does anyone have this
compilation? it features a few of the ziltybobs but i lost
it to a dead hd years back

these tracks are really intense, so far and because I have
to leave the house soon I could only listen to the first 2
in their full length. they evolve a change very well and
keep interest, so I will be coming back to the other 2. how
were they made? I tried for a while to make music like this
but never reached this level of detail.

entirely sample-based in origin, all processed and layered
in wavelab. i get down n dirty in the wav file! "telfer
lane" has some guitar clunks n clonks, "bag scarf hat bed"
has some sampled strings, both have recordings from an old
shortwave radio

That "Wood and Wire" is/was (Tiswas?!?!?) actually very
good, and I am not just saying that because I'm on it. About
3 months ago that may well have been on one of my large pile
of back up CD-Rs I'd had from 10 years ago. A large
pile which went in the bin three months ago... Arf's on
Instagram (I dare say elsewhere but I know he's on ...
Instagram), I dare say one could ask him there...?

cheers, i'll have to set up an account before i can pester
him but nice to know he's still about. and while i'm in the
self-promoting mood, he did an album with twain under his
STTBT moniker which i also did artwork for. sorry, i'll stop
now

Do I have to be on a computer to download the file?

Yeah can’t unzip zips. There’s probably a way if I
download an app or something. I’ll just play it on the
computer when it’s on. Which will possibly be tomorrow.

more 'selected ambient works' like what indicksuckle
spammed. I think they're interesting but prefer more pattern
oriented stuff myself. lol, the new world order smart phones
can't handle a zip file, by design. Sorry you have to listen
to itunes or whatever choices the nwo provides instead, tim
cook's favorite elevator music classics.

whatever's easiest

yeah, freaking phones. everything gets dumbed down, like, we
can't do archives anymore because phones are just stupid
etch a sketch versions of a computer designed to keep us
connected but impotent /wMw

module at uni.

yeah that's my favourite too, it took the shortest time to
produce, only a couple of hours "in the zone" live eqing etc
with spliff in gob. glad it'd get academic approval :)
