really, in my opinion, 1967 was where it was at ~ sgy pepper, magical mystery tour, piper at the gates of dawn, richard d. james pops out of a vagina, etc.
but i do like 1969, in the sunshine.
i haven't listened to this track in... years. why now? why? is bOc releasing an album? did a squarepusher thread die at 38 posts? hhalp

fantastic tune. really nice to look back and reflect that was present during an actually delineated 'era'. 2001 region where just as happen to be still new in process of discovery and just caught that lucky wave to surf and ride out as it was best. i wasn't quite around when all the well known heavy records hit down so everything i stumbled across was always looking back in time to past. it was only then when i caught up to present and was for the first time aware as new things were being released - and they just happened to be some of the best works from all of the groups out at the time. first time out to surf and just happened to be there for the wave of a lifetime

i more or less found out about BoC because i got quite into aphex, squarepusher, and BoC was frequently mentioned.
it's seemed to come in bouts. i remember listening to BoC heavily, for distinct periods, with wide gaps in between. like i said, it's been years
oh well. whatever. i do remember being shown that video with the monkeys on bicycles in elementary school, though. in the music, room, where they had music class

boc doesn't do much for me. I greatly prefer much more digital algorithmic precision like 8000 bc, appetite for disctruction etc. boc doesn't seem that well engineered, just pasted samples in meh-ish patterns, with distortion effects from actually damaging a cassette tape or something if I remember, instead of wielding precision control of such distortions with algorithms.

Wearing a BoC t-shirt right now, my third I think. They're eternally great. Their beats where and still are next level.

They did a remix for someone last year I think, so they're still about. I didn't listen to it yet though.

Being able to enjoy OvS tacos can be a wonderful experience. Being able to enjoy BoC tacos as well makes the experience all the fuller. I tend to be disappointed when I don’t enjoy a certain tacos variation. By the way I stuck with “tacos” because I failed at typing “tracks” with autocorrect assuming I wanted to write “tacos”. I liked that. I thought you would like that.
