when we could be HASHING?
cnn puts on its smart glasses; tries to look as bright as sarah palin does. goes wild with a decades-old mathematical technique routinely defeated by adjusting the colors and flipping the image around; why aren't we using this to stop this video on youtube?
by the way, here's a torrent.
i'm not generally into watching gore or anything like that, but some of what i saw in the excerpts was so bizarre i decided i wanted to see the full video. he opens up with "subscribe to pewdiepie," plays DDR music as he weaves through traffic with broken glass on his passenger seat, shows off his gas cans he doesn't wind up having time to use.
then there's some other article on nypost where they blur out his face with pixels but the article itself is about some obscure white-power hand signal i've never even seen before. well, now i've seen it. i can't figure out why they bothered pixellating out his face. at one point in the video, he turns the camera on himself and smiles
such a schizophrenic reaction from the media. they'll be giving it thousands of hours of airtime whilst blurring the guy's face, i suppose, to not give him as much publicity

In a question-and-answer section of the manifesto, he asked himself: Where did he research and develop his beliefs?
“The internet, of course,” he wrote. “You will not find the truth anywhere else.”
not sure if serious.

the news web site spams suggested articles: "why can't youtube stop the viral spread of this video?"
well, pulling the ads might help

I saw some middle woman on facebook banging on about Brexit saying we know the truth now through the facility of social media, I sighed very deeply

All these “days of retribution”...
I see the guy left a manifesto. I tried to read Elliot Rodger’s manifesto once...
As for the press... they’re hypocrites. At first even the bbc was showing the guy’s face and now everyone is blurring it. And as you say they’re hyping up this “video you mustn’t watch, but that’s out there” no end.

its all misdirected rage, wrapped up in some guff, he was probably just really fucking sick of his life, he would have to be to ruin it in such a fashion, all this ideology of hate its just a pretext for throwing a massive wobbler

I was talking about the press issue, but I get ya. There’s a common issue with both this guy and Rodger: severe hatred and an idea that the “persecutors” have to pay. Retribution. With Rodger I bet he thought he’d be seen as a hero, and some did. Same with this, some people will be applauding. The guy in NZ seemed to have a pretty full social life, even if just online, and I don’t mean to disagree with you but I doubt that he did it because he was “fed up” with his life.

in the case of Tarrant, it's actually someone sad. from the news dossiers, his father had died recently, and you can just tell -- he was very much his father's son. his father competed in iron man things, Tarrant was a personal trainer at a gym. pop, i'm sure, pumped him full of racist tidbits when he was a lad. then dad dies, Tarrant is a mess, and despite this, manages to make a shit-ton of money investing the inheritance in bitcoin. then, still a mess, starts touring the world with too much money. with the internet's help, the feelings start to go to racism, like a lightning rod. rather than address the emotional wounds, just blame something else about it, gradually build up a full head of insanity steam
that's my take, anyways. i recommend attempting to simply shut negativity down, rather than finding the time to blame anything

i skimmed through Tarrant's screed. it's incoherent. his writing is shit, and he's batshit. i managed to watch his video, but reading these "manifestos" is too close to it for me; feels like being force-fed bits of cotton soaked up with someone else's insanity.
the only one i ever felt like it might be a good read, was ted kaczynski's. but, even then... i haven't had the stomach to try

i just realized why the media is so uptight about this video -- if we see it all for free on the internet, they can't gradually mete out little bites of it on CNN for the next four weeks

He sounds like a tosser, not sad at all. The death of a parent, child, spouse or pet doesn't exonerate you in any capacity for being a total cunt. "It's the way he was raised" boohoo.

sorry, typo. i meant "somewhat sad." i meant the situation, how a person winds up becoming someone capable of that, how humanity has a knack for turning an ordinary tosser into a livestreaming mass-murderer
what little of his manifesto i read made me feel like it was written by someone charles manson brainwashed: race riots, division. except, it wasn't manson, it was a bigoted upbringing and the internet
