"It's about those situations in life where you just want the ground to swallow you up"
Some people think it's related to suicide
I think it's about leaving all the shit in your life behind for a little while and just letting the emotion out.
I fucking LOVE this song btw. I live by it. It's the most achingly beautfiul, depressing, powerful radiohead song i've ever heard.

To me, "How to Disappear Completely" (which was originally called "How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found") is about wanting to start your life over. It's about having made one last mistake and not wanting to kill yourself, but to go back and start all over.

Amnesiac is great, but Kid A has some strange qualities to it. I prefer Amnesiac. Like Spinning Plates is the most-beautiful song by Radiohead since Bulletproof (I Wish I Was...)

Beautiful song, I listened to it last night. I'm getting back into a Radiohead mood after a brief hiatus...
I think Kid A is better than Amnesiac, slightly... Kid A got me into this electronic thing in the first place. But neither of them hold a candle to the amazing OK Computer.

I agree with you there, Ophecks. I originally hated Kid A. I didn't like it until about Spring 2001.
It was just bleah to me, I wanted something to be better than OK Computer. Lyrically and musically, and "take the money and run" just didn't cut it. But I think Radiohead do write beautiful songs even post-OK Computer.
