i had a scary thought

At asda they have a poster that says hundreds of thousands
of children are reported missing in the uk alone.

WT!! Yet we usually only hear of that young girl maddie in
our papers.

Then i saw this story of an old man who had a pc, i think it
was connected to his cctv system and he was burgled. when he
was out.

Then an engineer from his isp or police showed him a list of
IP's that had accessed his compter camera. and it was like
200 in the past year or something, with the longest time
being many hours.

Now think if you have kids. and a camera on your laptop
facing a lounge or bedroom and you get 200 people all around
the world viewing your kids.

imagine if they record the children and put them up on web
sites. And then some sick perv gets obsessed by your kids
and then pays for the ip address.
Then hangs about your local shopping area and kid naps your
kid.

i mean, it is not far fetched that should be made into a
movie to scare the hell out of parents. to cover their
cameras with tape when not in use.

yeah to be honest if I had kids I wouldn't let them have a
mobile phone until there were about 13 or something

its called voyaring or something, where people are filmed
and uploaded without their consent.

all it takes is a snippet of insulation tape.

but the government would not advertise for this because they
want access to the cameras, i presume, anti terrorist stuff
and all that.

web, perhaps there are pictures of yourself on the toilet
wiping your bum

yes in the future with bladerunner billboards if someone
doesn't like you, they will send a looping gif of you
wanking onto 800 foot tall viewscreens in the middle of
tokyo

what would be scary is if you thought it was another person,
but it turned out to be a malevolent AI which could control
your appliances and burn stuff like swastikas onto your wifi
toaster and make your washing machine spin 8,000 rpm

in the future it will probably be a hologram, you could make
it as big as you wanted, you could simultaneously broadcast
it on all view screens around the world if you had an AI
that could write self modifying code faster than a human
being and it could lock out all other people

so hows that work? the program improves itself ?

when you make traces on circuit board teh program auto
traces and sits there improving the traces for hours until
it reaches the ultimate design. like that?

offline freqy on 2018-05-19 23:47 [#02552228]

if i remember i said to you something like:.. "columbo ...i
swear you could walk in a room and he would appear from
behind the curtain "

then you went off to youtube and found this spoof. and it
was quite amazing it existed.

I suppose you could do something with bitwise operators to
quickly and efficiently encrypt/modifying your code until it
becomes unintelligible to other humans, I don't know enough
about AI to say how that would function that's well more
advanced

probably a hint we are in a simulation, I love that when
that happens though when you type something in that has
scant meaning and find the thing you want, I swear there is
some sort of rudimentary AI that in enhancing search
functions

change in the accuracy of searches

you tell it to do something and it will learn to do it

like " using all the components available and also anything
that needs routing or printing, design a space ship to reach
mars.

When i was younger i awlays wondered if the world was
rendered when i was not seeing it, like a video game, like a
cone of vision, behind my head was a void because my
consciousness wasn't working with reality at that point

"they are trying to downplay and quantify something that
they have no fundamental explanation for. Whether its to
calm their intellect or appease the public, or maybe a bit
of both. Reality is , observing these particles changes
their behaviour . That is profound beyond any mortal
reasoning."

yeah i used to think that ..

or weirder....when you go around a corner and you see a guy
walking your way ..before you went around that corner, he
was waiting there for you to come so he could simply walk
past you normally.

i think that is like that jim carrey movie. where his
community are all actors.
